Cables that came with MG5

Yes, a 22kW cable will charge max 7kW on single phase, however a 11kW cable only about 3.5kW in the same scenario
Ah, is that a fact... interesting, thanks!! I was thinking of having the 22kW as my "mobile" cable (in the frunk as per the pre-facelift, if there is still space in the new one) but that wouldn't really work would it.

I rarely charge away from home, and I'm not sure there are many 22kW chargers out there anyway so I'll save the expense...

? The 22kW cable covers all possibilities at maximum charge speed. The problem is with an 11kW cable, 7 or 22kW "charger", and 7kW car.

Though the 22kW cable is bulkier, heavier, and more expensive than a 7kW cable.

Oh maybe I'm misunderstanding then, so I could get a 22kW cable and use it at home on my OHME at 7kW but get better speed at 11kW public chargers?

No need for a frunk on a FL, my 22kW cable sits securely between the engine cover and the bonnet..

Yes, a bit on the stiff side for daily use but it’s a true ‘one fits all’ solution..

Yes, BUT only if your car has an 11kW on-board charger.

If the on-board charger is 7kW or 6.6kW, then there is no advantage with a 22kW cable over a 7kW cable, other than future proofing for your next car.
