Camden Grey here today!

Did my first “launch” last night, thought I’d try it out on the deserted drive home.
Quite impressed 😉.
Range dropped by 10 miles, and a delayed reaction kinda like when you go on the Waltzer. It definitely moved some internal organs 🤢🤢🤢
I am imagining a reaction similar to this guy (who knows nothing about electric cars) who claims to not have an interest acceleration times until he tries the loud pedal at time stamp 7:20

Haven't tried launching mine. I'm not keen on the idea of doing it at traffic lights - just needs some **** to go through a new red on their side... And the roads around here don't really lend themselves to stopping to set up a launch. Could try it at 3 in the morning I suppose (!)

The upside of working late shifts all the time, I never muck about on restricted roads or fast ones either, but the odd bit of A-Road just begs for it 😉

I had exactly that, just as well it stops as quick as goes in sport otherwise I would have been in the side of a light jumper. Funny thing was he was indicating like it was my fault!

I trust no one now, frequently find “professional” drivers can be even worse. HGV pulled out of a lay-by without any indication, on the A34 in broad daylight yesterday forcing me to clean my discs, and I was only doing 60.. Suicidal or stupidly slow Oxford City bus drivers a menace in town too.
I keep the boost mode for quieter roads and times, and still plod about generally like the middle aged bloke in an MG5 that I recently was.

Received my Octopus top up email from MG today - £300 credit to my existing Octopus account, not yet showing 🫣, plus £300 credit towards Electroverse network. Only ever charged my 5 out there once, but handy to have it in the bank as I’m off to Cardiff tomorrow so will be fast charging somewhere en route.
Still, a nice thing to have, especially as the car was so heavily discounted, was waiting for the small print to kick in…

There are 3 Tesla supercharger locations open to all EVs in Bristol. Two are close to M5/M4 interchange at Cribbs Causeway. The other is next to Ikea in Bristol, just off M32. That one also has a set of Ionity rapid chargers next to it.

I went to the superchargers in Bletchley (at the Tesla service centre) a couple of weeks ago. I still have a couple of years worth of free supercharging left so I pop in there every so often. There were 7 cars charging, mine was the only Tesla. Another one turned up a little later, but Tesla's are being outnumbered at Tesla supercharges now - guess their chargers are just better than the competition...
Haven't taken my MG there yet, just been using the charger at home for that.
