Does any one do this anymore?

I had the (good)misfortune to be diverted through some East Sussex country lanes on my way to visit my Mum in Bexhill from my work in East London.
While the diversion was initially annoying it took me through some fantastic fast narrow country lanes where I was really able to put my car through it's paces.
I found that I was grinning like I haven't done for ages while driving . I was driving in sport mode and the car was so responsive , stable and steady,I was getting good feedback through the steering, brakes really sharp with no fade . I even managed to get the back to step out a couple of times . I honestly haven't enjoyed myself in a car ( Driving!) for years . I think I'll go that way again .
Imagine if I had an Xpower

All the time this end!

I will always take the back road when possible and am spoiled for choice over here in West Wales.

The car can be great fun when required and a sensible hatchback the rest of the time.

Our last car was a 66 reg Fiesta, and the MG feels so much bigger, I think it must be that dash top it so featureless, but I do feel as if I'm too close to the nearside in it, and thank god for the cameras as you cannot see where the front is, hopefully, it just a matter of getting used to it, but I've never had any problems before.

I live smack bang in a middle of an sprawling urban city with maybe more than a few roundabouts, so going out to drive for fun is not something I've been able to do to often.

But I will say since I've had this car I've looked for any excuse to go out in it. Not even from just a pure (ahem...brisk driving...ahem) standpoint, but just because it's a such a lovely car to drive. So smooth and effortless it just eats up the miles, definitely not something I could say of my old ICE SUV.

(Just don't mention the software issues)

Yesterday evening, my 9 year old daughter and I were in the car, dropping my wife and MiL at the hospital to see my FiL who's quite ill, at the moment.

After drop-off, my daughter said, 'Can we go for a drive, dad?'

Best 7 words I've heard in a while! Back lanes all around and a lovely little drive for the two of us! Much fun was had by us two and some lovely daddy/daughter time!

Just spent a few days in West Wales staying in a cottage on a farm near Haverfordwest. Family and I had a great time exploring around this area, and I loved the roads, so much fun. On way home took the road less travelled from Cardigan (yes we saw the giant cardigan) to Carmathen. It was great fun. Quick top up at the Tesla superchargers there, and then back to Bristol.

Must come back again. The roads were quiet, twisty and fun. The people friendly, and the landscape fantastic. Lots of lovely local food to sample too. The cottage was superb, comfortable, and even had a hot tub. Most entertaining part of the stay was when some of the cows managed to break into the garden of the farmhouse next to the cottage, and had to be wrangled back to their field by the farmer's son. We got to watch the whole procedings from the hot tub.

we got the black one as we didn't like the weird sticky out bits on the front, but by heck it shows the muck faster.

Once you've tried Black
You never go ba........

Buy another one because it's such a pig to keep clean!!!!

Looks Stunning clean though....

I spent nearly a week bringing this up to standard when I got it.

I used to have some fun when I would leave work on a nice bit of 60mph road but 10 months ago they built a large OAP farm midway and now every OAP is on this road doing 15mph all the time.
In my old YETI it was great in 4 wheel drive and would be nice to try to do the same in the rear wheel drive MG but alas no, there is always a 15mph person driving with a long tail back of cars...
