Buying an MG ZS Hybrid +, is akin to going on a voyage of discovery, without a map.
Do you think that anyone at MG UK looks at this forum?

Hi Clive, many thanks once again for responding to my pestering. I have taken a couple of photographs showing the screen on FM and dab radio and neither of them show anything where you are pointing at.
Not sure what looks like a field strength symbol on the DAB screen indicates, clicking it does nothing.

Hi Noel. Check your entertainment system version in setting to see if its the same as this.

The weird thing about this missing Audio EQ is that they have already written the software for the MG3, which does both a 5-bands graphic equalizer and a spatial fader that you can use to rebalance L/R and B/F seats.

It should be a simple update?

In one of the YouTube videos I watched, I noticed a newer software version than the one mentioned above. Unfortunately, the author did not access the radio settings, so it's hard to determine whether this update includes the equalizer or not. Nevertheless, there is an another video showing an equalizer in the MG ZS Hybrid (but this time without software version number) so the update is there and it may just be a matter of time and a visit to your car dealer.

We have the spacial fader also.

with my software version image above, I have the Equaliser and the spacial fader.
The version number on my ZS SE Hybrid+ however had a lower number than on your image. Is this relevant?

Hi Emanuel. Thanks for the link, but I can’t really see what he is doing. I had a quick look, but It appears that he is opening a hidden menu, and I’m worried that if I attempt to do the same I might, inadvertently change something I will regret.

Hi Noel, you’re right, the warranty might be at risk. However, even though I don’t have the car yet (probably mid February), the version might be visible in the system menu?

Heard from seller... luxury is not having eq. While confort have one.

Yes, in fact, the PGL8.1.8 version shown by Diwat123, which should have the equalizer, is from May 2024, while your version, PGL8.2.8, which doesn't have it, is from July 2024. Strange—if they've removed it in all subsequent versions, it means they're working on a software bug or a hardware issue. I fear we’ll have to wait longer; I don’t think they intend to leave it out, otherwise, imagine the negative publicity. The problem is that we'll always need to go to the dealership for updates (I think there will be several). Tesla has made updates much smarter by doing them over the air. Anyway, patience—it’ll come.

Hi Emanuel. Thanks for the information. I think the missing equaliser is likely to be the least of their problems. Many owners are beginning to lose patience regarding the car's dangerous lack of power when overtaking etc.
I beginning to wish I’d never bought mine. The NS door mirror has water in it, the car’s windows keep steaming up, the ApplePlay navigation screen is so bright that it makes driving at night very difficult. No body at MG wants to accept ownership, and they, and the dealerships just pass the buck back and forth.
