Wont be posting for a while ? a mini with 4 teenagers in crashed into my pride & joy in Morrisons car park. I was doing 6mph they were doing 20-30mph. My pride is hurt more than my car, first bump in 23 years. Absolutely Gutted.
Feel like I don’t want it back now.

Sorry to hear this - what a complete nightmare :(

I'm gutted for you and it's not even mine. Where they hooning about? And was the driver insured? Hopefully it won't be a long wait to get it back. I can relate to your feeling of not wanting it back though. ?

On a practical level, particularly as car parks are private property, keep any witness statements safe and ask the supermarket if there is any CCTV footage of the incident -sadly often even if a person admits liability verbally at the scene, they often change their story once they've had some 'advice' from friends.

Really hope this gets sorted quickly for you.

Jeeeeeezus.

T w a t s.

It's my biggest fear out and about.

Some arsehole clipping, knocking, reversing into, colliding with, manoeuvring into, my pride and joy.

The standard of parking and driving ability round these parts is shocking.

Trouble is, it's rural and people need to hang onto their licence for as long as possible.

I will no doubt be exactly the same.

I just don't bother getting amongst them.
I park as far away as possible.

I really feel for you m8.
All that effort making 'her' yours.

I get it.

I just hope your insurance company gets a grip.

Poor @Brettus is still awaiting a final resolution and his accident was in January (I think)

You know it'll be a ball ache.

I just hope the ache is a short one.

Good Luck with it. ?

I had nextbase front & rear cameras so caught it all in glorious 4K. The sun was low lying & blinding me & truth be told it was my fault ?‍♂️ my pride & driving record hurt as much as my car. I genuinely appreciate you kind comments thank you

Thanks buddy. It was my fault! I had low sun blinding me, has driven a mile to collect my daughter, couldn’t see her so was panicking (she is autistic, I stress in supermarket car parks anyway as you need eyes in yer arse. Went to turn into McDonalds car park @ 6mph & 4 teens in a mini appear out of the sun & Boom ? hit me at around 30mph without braking. Plastic every where. Luckily none of them were hurt. I’ve honestly struggled to sleep because I can’t believe I was caught out ?. Then I check my fully comp ncd protected insurance & find Ive offered £500 ontop of their £250 excess (confident knob ?). Expensive Life Lesson. I appreciate your kind remarks buddy. Parked nose up the driveway so neighbours didn’t see.

Sorry to hear this - what a complete nightmare :(
Thank you. I appreciate it. Im devastated! Just got the car how I wanted too.

Ouch .... so sorry to see that ??.

I hope you get it all back to new asap and put the whole episode behind you.

Supermarket car parks can be nightmare ... blind spots, people reversing out etc, etc....

Ouch, sorry to hear/see this. Low lying sun was my downfall too and yep, a very sobering lesson unfortunately. Least nobody was hurt and cars will get sorted. You even had protected NCD.

I took a hit on mine ? mainly as the policy just rolled over from my boring “big blue slug” I was driving before that so didn’t have opportunity to consider it really.
Apparently mine was going into the workshop this week so maybe the end is in sight but I’m not holding my breath.

Hope yours is a nice quick fix as it looks mostly superficial (your wheels are all in the right place etc ?) ?

UPDATE. After 38 days I finally got my car back.
Accident was ruled NOT MY FAULT so no £750.00 excess to pay ?
To my frustration I had to send my car back due to sloppy mistakes, new nose cone not correctly aligned, new bonnet badge not fitted centrally & somebody scratched my seat bolster for me ?.
It went back last Monday & is due back Tuesday coming.

I’m feeling a bit conflicted hearing about this between support for a fellow member and my own experience of a car driver not being able to see due to the sun and turning across the road right in my path. I was on a bike, hit the radiator, somersaulted through the air and injured. Since then I’ve thought if you can’t see you should stop until you can, otherwise risking injury. I am feeling rather sorry for the young driver after you admitted it was your fault, but did you tell insurance that?

I submitted 4k camera footage to the insurance company (front & rear). I did not admit liability & stated it was all on camera as Im not qualified to decide. Saying on here it was my fault is 24 years of no incident & considering honestly if I could have done anything differently. Imagine doing 30+ mph in a supermarket car park ? the mini bounced back off my car as it hit me so hard & did not even brake! My insurance company decide fault using traffic law & past case president. I take any incident on the road seriously & personally & learn from it. IF video was an option on here I would post the footage & then you would have an opinion seeing the facts. Until then I cannot comment on your incident & experience & I would respectfully appreciate you not passing judgement on mine.

Fair enough, I was just going on the statements that you said it was your fault and you couldn’t see as the sun was in your eyes, which just triggered a bad memory for me of a driver saying that, with me thinking if you can’t see you shouldn’t be moving.
