How Do You Install A Subwoofer In The SE MG4?

So I've heard we DONT have rear door speakers... Which means the head unit only has 2 pair of cables going back to the front doors (L + R)

Im assuming because I havent open my rear doors to see... Or check this module under glovebox...

But this module where these cables come out from... Must be the same as the full equipped version with 4 speakers... Right?

Its weird to think its a different - smaller - basic module...with less outputs...

Anyways, in the past i used RCA cables with aftermarket stereos... But what about this OEM infotainment system from MG4?

How do i connect one of these subwoofers?

I have 2 options in mind...

1) below driver seat (so i dont shake my wife but i dont know if ill like it here) but it saves trunk space

2) in the trunk, in a corner - where i already have a charger box that i honestly dont use and takes space :/ and this looks like a compact -chairlike- box that can have a tool box on top maybe

Hmm so my question here...

A) How do i pass the red battery cable from hood to cabin - without cuttin/drilling anything?
B) how do you connect one of these to the infotainment?

I took my measurements - and im very precised on that, so now it only depends if sellers list products honest descriptions.

30 deep x 8 height x 34 wide cm
11.8" d x 3.14" h x 13.38" w

And this kicker underseat 10" fit.
12.38"D x 9.88"W x 3.13"H

It fits ?

Aaand.. the other route:

The charger box I'd probably never use takes up this space 20 d x 36 w x 30 h cm

7.87" d x 14.17" w x 11.80" h

And the compact box is:
7.06" D x 20.69"W x 12.25"H

Hmm now that i see it - this box is wider... Less deep and also same height.

From 36 to 52.5... (14" to 20")

Yep, i dont feel these measurements are right.

And then put one of these on top with velcro to secure - same wide. A little bit deeper but can fit

I would imagine no rca outputs on the infotainment system so would need a line out converter using speaker cables.

It just uses the signal from the speaker wires it’s not a great solution but could be the only one

Our installer tried everything to fit a phoenix gold active 8" sub under the passenger seat but couldn't as there wasn't enough height - this unit is only 70mm high. Only option is the boot.

And as mentioned above, you'll have to take a high level input from one of the speaker output cables.

There is a guy on a German forum who has retrofitted speakers in the back doors. There are outputs available on the headunit. I think a subwoofer wouldn't be my first upgrade, because the door speakers handle low frequencies pretty well. I think some good tweeters would be a better upgrade, and add rear speakers after that

I changed tweeters and they sound very good now.

I changed front speakers and have great tone range and volume.

I don't really mind about rear speakers as im not playing back audio with 4 channels (rear vs fromt) - just stereo

So adding more speakers to the back is to make all the mid-ranges louder - something i dont need.

What im missing is the punchy vibrant bass.

Thats why im asking about it.

If the infotainment have the rear speakers output unused - then i could use these to connect a bass subwoofer in the boot.

But... How is that done?

Is there a map of the outputs for this module behind the glovebox and see where rear speakers are meant to be connected?

Even better if it already has a subwoofer line out lol
