MG ZS SE Charging issues

Hi everyone.

I’m hoping for a little bit of advice from you and anyone that may have experienced this issue.

Background.

I brought the car in August 2024 (no finance) new with no owners.

The car has been fine and no major issues.

Energy provider Octopus (IO)
Zappi home charger

The issue.

The past few weeks I have found when putting the car on charge. The car would turn the light on at its port, the zappi would show waiting and Octopus would give us a schedule. But the car wouldn’t charge over night..

I spoke with octopus who confirm no issues their end. Zappi did confirm for some reason the signal wasn’t firing their end so we did a reset which resolved the charging issue and worked that night.

My wife put the car on charge last night got all the usual prompts to suggest the car will charge…but it didn’t.

My question/s is this, has anyone experienced this and did you find what the issue was (car, energy provider or charger)

Is it acceptable to wait until end of March for a inspection as that is what I’m being told my mg service centre…

Are there any suggestions on other things to try to eliminate the car as the issue ?

I really appreciate anyone weighing in on this!

Hi, does it work fine in 'Fast' mode and on a rapid CCS charger?
Are you on the latest Zappi software?
If you know someone who wants free overnight charge try their car.

I’ll have a look to see tonight, as for Charing on a non home one, I’ll have to make a trip somewhere over the weekend to see…

I may have to see if anyone is happy to stay over !

I’m going to try a few other things but was hopeful someone may have faced into this issue before

You don’t say way you are, but I am more than happy to borrow your charger or you mine if you want to try it.
