Anyone know the latest software version ? The car I purchased had R04 - what is the latest?

Your profile says Driving: Not an MG ... what exact model of car do you have? (I presume there are version number differences between the Excite and Essence models in Aus, as there are pretty much everywhere else in the world).

Yep have not got the car in my hot hands yet, delay is due to the part (bracket) needs to be fitted before I collect it, hopefully on Saturday 22nd February.

Yes Trophy version ER in the UK.

ok thanks lets see what they have installed as they said they did the software update today and still awaiting the bracket for the undertray. I signed the contract on 1st Feb for a July 2023 MG4 77 $38,888
Ooh, that seems like a sharp price for an LR77. 😁 Even a 23 build. The difference between LR and XP was much less when I bought during the big sales last year, and I was seduced by power over range. (Seduced? As if. One drive. I dived straight in, screaming in delight!)

In a moment of weakness, and the needs for a running vehicle my wife can drive to get to and from the hospital in Adelaide for my left eye cataract op......., we just bought a demo MG4 51 with 1,000km on the clock. I'd managed to negotiate the price down to $32,000 drive away ........ and the next thing I know, the next level up from the sales manager got in the wife's ear and ceramic window tinting and ceramic paint protection was added, at the usual insane dealership pricing ..... so all my hard bargaining went out the window  .... and no, it isn't a taxi orange one, it's white so it blends in with all the other white cars in the multi level car park

The plan is we pick it up new Tuesday, so I need to know what the latest software updates are and how I find them on the endless pages that seem to exist on that centre screen .....

Thank you all in advance ..... on the bright side, I have lots of spare parts for it now :ROFLMAO:

Is it just me - or has my post that you've quoted disappeared?

Not sure if it is the situation in your case, but be aware there is an issue with Xenforo where posts that get merged by mods and which have (prior to the merge) been linked to, don't get those links updated. The result is broken links that go nowhere. I have been discussing this with @Rolfe and Stuart is aware too.

What is currently post #1624 was originally my post as quoted in the current #1624.

Clicking on the arrow in the quote takes me to the Oops message. 🤷‍♂️

Well it's not been merged anywhere (that I can see). If it's been deleted then I haven't received a notification about it - I do get such notifications - and there's nothing in the content of that post that warrants it being deleted anyway. 🤷‍♂️

I believe it's difficult for the general public to discover what software they have, and versions differ between models - the 51 doesn't have the same features as an Essence, so gets different upgrades.

Tell them (in writing) you want all updates for the 51 applied before you pick it up, and get their agreement. Or trust them. I trusted, but have a little voice nagging away... The key update to LKA/ELK was applied though. 🤷‍♂️

Any underbody sag (very common) should be fixed pre-delivery. Mine wasn't, so now I have to faff to get it fixed. It doesn't affect the drive at all, just aesthetics under the car, and creating a scoop which reduces aerodynamic efficiency, and allows crap into an area that should be covered. Theoretically, the right circumstances could rip the cover off completely. I haven't seen any reports of this happening.

Battery equalisation. I have Essence 64 (NMC battery).

Have a long drive today so car got an overnight full charge in prep. It's been 96 days since the last charge to 100% so was a good opportunity to do so.

The equalisation period after the bulk charging was complete took much longer than normal today, requiring a little over 2-hours to complete:

It's normally a 5-10 minutes thing.
I do a 100% charge monthly or in reality when I remember. I have noted it does take longer if there has been a longer period of time between 100% balance charges. I charge normally to 80% once or twice a week & the balance charge is quite short but the last one to 100% took a bout 40 minutes.

Ok, I should have notified you. I deleted it as it was a misreading, as it just clutters up an already very long thread. Now there is even more clutter.

I'm tempted to delete this discussion about where did the post go too, but only if you agree. Maybe you have some notion that any deletion is censorship, or similar.

Re the post numbers: when a post gets deleted or moved to another thread, all following posts get renumbered. People sometimes refer to a post by its number, and don't turn it into a link. The reference can then be to a post later than the intended one. I guess that's more reason to not delete a post, but then we end up with posts with a single dot, say. I suppose that's not the end of the world, not quite.

Must admit, you are very handy, with the delete post button. Definitely more than any other motoring forum, I've been on.
No doubt, this one will have the same fate. 😉🙂👍

There have been a couple of reports on this forum, one quite recently:

Post in thread 'XPower in the Snow' XPower in the Snow

The snow's probably not a problem for you, but I think the other was something else such as a deep puddle or speed hump. I used to take the larger puddles much more cautiously before mine was done.

Eeek! 😱 I saw that, somehow missed it had been ripped off (I thought the dealer had done a number on it getting it off). [Makes note to watch out for puddles]

Picked up the New MG4 51 this afternoon, so now we have 3 x MG4s, strangely, the one with rego plates on it is the latest production date and has the most kms on the clock .... and was the most expensive by far

Naturally, the wife got to drive it home and I had to drive the '92 Ford Fairmont. And naturally, she chose the windy Chain of Ponds road and tested it out as a comparison to the suspension upgraded Gen 2 itech Prius ....... big smile, says she can't see herself every going back to a hybrid ..... have I got news for her  After trashing the leather seats in my iTech Prius and making it smell like an ashtray .... that is not gunna happen to this baby ;) .... hopefully ....

Now to collect all the must have accessories and figure out how all the tricky bits between steering wheel buttons, touches on the centre screen and calculating in the date and page number to make sure I have selected the required combination ........

The '74 VW Kombi is so much simpler .... it either starts or you look for another one in the fleet that does start ..... select a gear with the stick, then another one because that wasn't the one you were hoping for ..... till it goes in the desired direction without stalling ...... from there, put the pedal to the metal and wait for the noise to build/wind up, then try for another one using the stick thing ..... and hope no one puts a hill in the way .... No worries with lane keep assist, there is a big round wheel thing for that .... and everyone close by makes allowances for such a classic vehicle may wander around a bit/lot ... it's expected :ROFLMAO:

But seriously, love the short drive I managed to get from the club to the motorhome (maybe 2 kms) and looking forward to driving it to the Adelaide branch Electric Vehicle meeting, so I can put my hand up that I arrived in a pure BEV
