How much was yours driveaway when you purchased in June 2024?
I can't remember exactly. Low 50's drivewayHow much was yours driveaway when you purchased in June 2024?
Great deal. Absolutely go for it. I love ours. Indeed we liked it so much we then bought a 51 for around town.Ok about to pull the trigger on an MG4 77 brand new but built in January 2024, 1 year old for $44,500 driveaway, best price available atm in Brisbane, what do you all think ?

We got ours in October during the big $10K off sale on '23 builds.
We actually only paid $39,875 drive away (new built July '23) but that's because they thought they were selling us an Essence 64
After we'd paid and all the paperwork was being finalised they realised it was a 77!
In the end they said they'd honour the deal even though our contract specified a 64 and congratulated us on our good fortune.
They were delightful about it.
We paid them back by getting the 51 a month and a bit later![]()
I hired a Born for 3 days and drove it around the Gold Coast and into the hinterland hills.Ok so looking around at others, I see Cupra come out with some big discounts, MG477 or Cupra 77?
I hired a Born for 3 days and drove it around the Gold Coast and into the hinterland hills.
It was very nice and confirmed for me that EVs were great
I also regularly hire a Polestar 2 in Adelaide if I've flown there.
The Born has more rear seat space than the Polestar 2 but not as much as the MG4.
It drives similarly to the MG4 and I'd be very happy with it but I prefer our 77.
I reckon you need to test drive one.
Be aware the Born "connectivity" in Australia still hasn't been enabled. You can't connect to it with the App like you can in Europe. (One of our members in my other EV discussion group has one)Yes both have advantages and disadvantages, MG4 have 10 yr warranty, Cupra have OTA updates.
oh interesting thanks !Be aware the Born "connectivity" in Australia still hasn't been enabled. You can't connect to it with the App like you can in Europe. (One of our members in my other EV discussion group has one)
I'm pretty sure that also means OTA updates are in the same state as the MG4's.
I'll check to make sure...
I checked with the guy who has a Born. Definitely have been no OTA updates in Australia (though they are performed in EU) and no connectivity either.oh interesting thanks !
ok good to know thanks!I checked with the guy who has a Born. Definitely have been no OTA updates in Australia (though they are performed in EU) and no connectivity either.
The MG4 in Australia uses a Vodafone SIM for connectivity and the iSmart app works for me just fine.
No OTA updates for them anywhere in the world though.
It's been done in Thailand. No OTA updates for them anywhere in the world though.
It's been done in Thailand.
I had a chuckle at that too (thanks, Google Lens). But on the Reddit page, there are other screenshots, with some dubious translations. It's an error message...
The different symbols, or the symbols being on the left? My symbols have changed a few days ago, but they look different from those. And some days they are on the left, some days on the right…Anyone have this happen recently using CarPlay? Happens occasionally on mine.
