Why only 800 or so complete the MG4 satisfaction poll when there are around 13k members on the forum. It would be good if more members would complete poll to get a better picture of satisfaction.

Do you have a link to the poll?

Pretty sure it's on here somewhere but I can't find it.

P.S 12683 member on here at last look.

Edit: Found it.....

Thread '!!! MG4 COMMUNITY SURVEY ? We need you !!! (only 28 British votes/150)' !!! MG4 COMMUNITY SURVEY ? We need you !!! (only 28 British votes/150)

That's 121,000 messages!

Not members.

12,863 members at last count.

I'm polled out. Every time you have something delivered or use a service you get a bloody satisfaction poll. I now refuse to fill out any polls, surveys or questionnaires.

Do you agree ?

Do you disagree ?

On a scale of 1 to 10 how happy are you with your answer?

There may be ~13k members, but they don't all own an MG4. There will be far more MG5 and ZS EV owners on this board than MG4 owners. I'd hazard a guess and say 800 votes is probably around 40% of MG4 owners here.

That seems a bit of an underestimate IMO. Any idea where to get the numbers of members in various forums out of interest.

Ask an admin? ?‍♂️

I disagree re. it being an underestimate ... this forum was around long before the MG4 came out.

Fair enough. I'm just guessing TBH. Just didn't think 40% = 800 so 100% = 2000 MG4 members seemed reasonable. Bricktop seemed informed and he reckoned 13k. Maybe an administrator could confirm to us out of interest. ?

Lots of people join for an answer to a specific query then don't come back, or join in the enthusiasm of a new car then gradually lose interest. You'd need to know the number of CURRENTLY ACTIVE members who have an MG4. No, I don't know how to find out.

It's OK - I'll let someone else go through every member's profile and note their Driving setting (which may be incorrect anyway for a reasonable number of members). 😂

I just kept it simple - 20 x 636 = 12720 members, but in any case 942 respondents is certainly a decent and representaivie sample IMHO

As well as the above poll another I think we should have another one

"Are you happy with your MG4 Aftersales Service"

The resullts would be interesting if we got the same number of responses.

My thoughts and experience are that MG are a "stack 'em high sell them cheap" type of company with low margins. This is what happened to one MG dealer and I'm sure there's a few others :-

Quote from Top MG dealer Summit Garage pulls new car sales

"AM said that Summit Garage in Dudley near Coventry was one of the best-selling dealers for MG in the UK but the family owners came to the conclusion they could not afford to sell new cars because the costs were not sustainable.

The company wrote to customers citing the rapid exponential growth of MG as the principal issue. The problem essentially was low margins on large numbers of cars with high holding costs, but there was also concern that the high volumes were straining the service department and this was affecting Summit’s reputation for customer service.

“While our partnership with MG has been positive, we believe that refocusing our efforts will better serve the needs and expectations of our customers,” it said.

The family-owned business, which is 80 years old, told customers that after careful consideration it would cease as a MG Motor UK new car sales franchise."

Fair play to them actually sounds like a loss to the network, they sound like they actually cared.

"Stack em high sell them cheap" sums MG up extremely accurately
