I wasn’t sure I liked this at first but now I love it just jumping in the car heading off, jumping out locking car. So much easier and simple.
That's fine if you don't have a passenger who wants to sit inside the car whilst you get out. You can turn the car off on the screen, but it turns on again as soon as you get out. The only way around that is to lock the car as you get out then unlock it again. The other problem which I discovered recently is that if you are stopped on brake auto-hold and you move your arse (in my case to get a car park ticket out of my back pocket) the auto-hold disengages. I nearly hit another car as a result of that.

I have to admit it’s not very often I leave someone in the car when I get out but I have gone to shops a few times and just left the car on with the passenger in there. Partly for AC.

Your comment about the auto hold was an interesting one and worrying. I just went to the shops and tried to reproduce this. I had the car on auto park and lifted myself right off the seat. The car did not move. I then tried to take my seatbelt off to get out but it immediately went from auto hold to Park. With auto hold on the only way I could get the car to move was touch the accelerator.

I am in the latest software and in a Trophy LR so may be this is different in the xpower.

Exactly, that's the problem, Try driving through Stiffkey on the Norfolk coast and you will see why I want to have the mirrors in whilst moving faster than 10 mph. Or make the threshold faster, say 25 mph. Do you not find that problem at some villages in Wales as well?
If the passage is so narrow you need to fold your mirrors, why do you need to do 25 mph?

Nope. If I need the mirrors folded, then I'm uncomfortable doing more than 10mph anyway.

What about an "MG4 finder" screen on at all times which does a mock-radar sweep of the environs and indicates the nearest 25 MG4s in the area! 😁
We don't need that one. We usually have a radar sitting in the child-seat in the rear that alerts us, "Another MGiM". Occasionally, the radar gets the pronounciation right "MG" and then our MG goes, "I am here" like a jealous girlfriend.

Power tailgate, or better assisted dampers would be a useful.

I love my MG4 Trophy LR, but it will go at 2 years in October, the car has so far been brilliant, not a hiccup, but the boot is rather heavy for my wife to lift, so will get something with a powered tailgate, will have to wait and see what's around the corner, but still like the X-Peng 6, but really like what MG has to offer.

There is a power tailgate kit listed in the upgrades and accessories thread.
I expect it's a bit tricky to fit though.

Don't think it does it on the X Power. 🤔
Yes it does.

You don't, it's a 20 mph limit anyway, but I think you'll find that the limit is less than 10 mph. It is almost as soon as you move so probably about 5 mph (perhaps 10 km/h).
