MG4 Software Update Thread

Question: when someone has a Lux my23 and upgrades to R59 from R40, will they find the navigator in the right language (e.g. here in Italy) and the navigator with the programming of charging stops? (I've seen videos of MG4 owners in Australia and it seems to be the case.

The future R63 release (I think that's correct) what updates will it bring?
(Maybe it's better to wait a little longer).

(Assuming they won't do online updates for everyone remotely, perhaps).

Thanks to those who answer!

I’ve just had my MG4 trophy phase two in for service and software updates. Serviced at Richmond Guildford. Complained of Bluetooth issues, and ACC performance.

Updated to R59 no questions asked, so far after only a short drive I’ve noticed several differences including the bar at the top of the screen in CarPlay, ACC is much improved and I’m able to use my hotspot again, let’s see how long that lasts!

There’s some interesting maybe comments on the service sheet about updated failed until did something else with the T-Box - will try to take a pic and post when I get home.

I also meant to add that I was told by the service person on the phone that 5mph increments on the ACC was “just how it is”, yet magically it now is doing 1mph increments.

I completely forgot to ask about data usage. Dangit.

I had my Trophy updated to R59 last week, the ACC is still incrementing by 5mph. Do you think the 1mph change is something from the "secret" menu? I'd much prefer the 1mph increments for the short press, that just makes it much easier to use.

The ACC update is not linked to the infotainment version. My Trophy had the update at my first service but the infotainment version stayed at R33. It is believed to be part of the MG Service Campaign SCUK001.

Not sure if this is actually interesting having read it through, but I promised :)

I think this will newer happen. With that we would know what are the problems and they would be obligated to perform SW upgrade
It could still be a pay-for service. I don't have a problem with paying for updates (its either in the price of the car or afterwards).

An adult thing for them to do would be to have a subscription service with access to updates details and regular updates included in the price.
