MG4 Windows dropping?

Nice idea but it might also disable the ability to charge the car and you would have to reset the steering, window limits and put up with a whole host of warning messages until the car's been driven for a few miles.

Identical issue here....
73plate Long Range Trophy.
Test windows found lowered on return to the vehicle, and yep,.... twas raining.....

I put it down to oversensitive window buttons accidentally pressed on exit.

Now, on exit, I pull on the window buttons to ensure they're closed before walking away.

No unexplained window drop since.....

Just seen this thread and have to report that it's happened to me and I blamed myself twice and the missus once!

Rear passenger side window found fully down on 2 occasions and front passenger side down about an inch and a half once (blamed the missus for that one which now seems very harsh!)

I’ve had my MG4 for a week.
Windows have been found open twice. Once the passenger rear and once the passenger front.
The buttons for these windows are closest to the edge of the door arm rest so I’m thinking it’s inadvertent operation of the window switches because they are right where you push the door open.
The fact that some windows are fully open and some are partially open suggests this is the case.
But, I’ll mention it to the dealership when it goes in for the 1500km check.

I had this happen, rather unnervingly, a couple of times after I'd bought mine in March. Found this thread. Slightly modified the way i used the door armrest when getting in and out . Hasn't happened since. And I was convinced I wasn't accidentally catching the switches 🤷 but there y'go. 😁👍

p.s. - hope you're enjoying it.

The buttons are very sensitive. Dead easy to catch when you leave the car. My rear passenger opened once when I first got the car . I now am wary of this happening and it hasn't happened since. Definitely was me .

Similar to the above I also had this for a few weeks from new. I have a suspicion that they bed in after a period of use, as mine are no longer quite as sensitive compared to new. If true, then exercising each of the switches on all of the doors a few times while the car is powered down ought to help.

Either way, just get in to the habbit of pressing all the up buttons on the drivers door before getting out, and maybe checking all the windows are up after the car is locked. Hopefully after a few weeks the problem will be gone, and you can go back to normal.

Yeh, that makes sense.
I am enjoying it. It's a massive step up from the 12 year old Suzuki SX4 it replaced.
Amazing driving experience.

BCM update solved this for me.
