MG4 X-Power Orders & Delivery

They won't just 'do' it for you.

The might if you pay them their time.

The trick is to have an issue with the car that it needs to go in for, then like in my recent experience, they update it while it is with them.

There are a few things you could 'complain' about ACC slowing down for bends is a good one, others have bluetooth issues etc.

Mine is R46 and I am very happy with it the way it is.

Remember you will be using up half a day, maybe more getting it
ah i fear you've misunderstood me, as far i know the Dealer i purchased from is only a brand store and not a service center and as such i have no idea if they are even authorized to update the systems. that is what i intend to ask them about.

COC shows build date as 12/1/23 - is that Jan or Dec?
Infotainment is version R40
Only 3 blue lights around charging socket when charging - should it be 4?

Depends on the state of charge - you'll have two steady and one "breathing" if it's >=50% and <75%. Once it reaches 75% the third will go solid and the fourth will start slowly pulsing.

December build date. I have R40 and its ok, a bit clunky but now using a pointer have no issues.
As above lights are a rough state of charge.
Enjoy your car!

As above, December '23 build date. (Month - Day - Year for the build date ... Day - Month - Year for the approval [or whatever it is called] date).

Got my green XPower yesterday - three weeks exactly from order to driving it away. It's quite fast compared to my previous car, a Honda Jazz. Manufactured 12/7/23, so almost exactly a year old already.

EDIT: Is it American date format? In which case 7/12/23, so not so old!

Your a master of the understatement, James. "Quite fast compared to your Honda Jazz" ? Enjoy your new motor. ??

We've received an update today to say it should be delivered 3rd September. Looking forward to getting the car. One question that came to mind earlier though, is their a running in period for these like there would be for an ICE car?

Only as far as you have new tyres and brakes to settle in.
Tyres are good after 100 miles.
Just be gentle on the brakes for a while and don't punish them in the first couple of hundred miles.

I did my first launch at 200 miles.

9000 miles in and I'm still laughing!
