Thanks for the reply. Towards the end the CTR's ride was becoming unacceptable! Was about 3 years old then but this is in part due to the dreadful and ever worsening state of our roads. The Audi S3 was better in this regard. I am pretty sure from memory the XP felt very similar to the S3 but always hard to tell. Firmish but supple/well damped.
Our local MG dealer does not have a XP to test drive now. Or the Extended Range. But we took out a normal MG4 LR Trophy which was fine. Both my sister and best mate both drive MG4s now after my recommendation! Apart from niggly software issues they love them and we have all been impressed by their efficiency when they visit from London/Essex to South Wales. So the MG4 LR would make a great choice as well but that lease company has even better deals on the XP. And it does tickle our fancy to think we can get that type of power in a relatively compact hatchback shape.
