MH HS PHEV - Charging Pin Issue!

My 2 year old PHEV wont allow charge cable to connect what i believe is a pin issue.

Basically you cannot insert cable all the way in to the car charging point on car is it seems like one of the pins (maybe a locking pin) is stopping it from inserting all the way.
Can someone point me in the right direction please, believe somewhere i read about there being a manual pull in boot for opening the flap but that's not the issue unless it somehow resets the 'pin' ?

Oh really that's interesting thanks for this link.
So did opening flap manually work as in reset pin?
Also do you need special tool to get access to manual pull?

No, as I understand it, that pull is for the pin, not the flap. No special tool needed, just a small blade or screwdriver to open the flap.

Not sure if my issue is related.
Sometimes when I plug the granny charger in the car say connecting but fails. If I remove it and reinsert the plug while the charge is active after a couple of attempts it starts charging!
I now have to try it out before switching the timer out of manual mode ready for the Octopus Go tariff to start at 12:30.

Any ideas?

i have mine on a smart wifi switch plugged into the 3 pin charger. It works everytime when its scheduled to.
