My 2024 MG4 excite 51 Won’t Fast Charge

I purchased the new 2024 MG excite 51 EV on Thursday and the only way we can charge it is with the slow charger from home which barely does a thing. I’ve tried multiple fast chargers but none of them work except for the slow charger at home. Am I doing something wrong? I’ve used the free ones and the paid for ones and although I’ve watched other people use the same charging ports, it just won’t charge. It registers as connected and will let me lock it but it won’t charge. I’ve tried clicking start charge and still nothing, is there a setting I have to change to allow fast charging? Desperate for help as we have a long drive tomorrow and I’ve only got 30% and it will only charge about 20% over night on the slow charger.

Have you tried a public AC charger? Still quite slow, but it should be about 3.5x faster than the granny charger. It sounds like your car may have a problem with rapid DC charging.

In China, some cars do have problems with DC fast charging, which can be solved by replacing the interface after sales.

It took me a while to successfully fast charge. I found you have to follow the charging instructions to the letter, a little out of sequence gives the results you are getting.
