New MG4 Shipment?

I got an unexpected call from my dealership on Friday that the SE Extended i ordered 19/11/2022 will be ready for handover “mid March”

'apply ceramic coating', what's that all about?

its a coating to protect the paint and plastic from the damage from the sun and make car easier to keep clean and more shiney , i do it on all my cars, and on black as it gets more dirty like my honda is more appreciated , (that honda is 7 years old ) look at the gloss in the paint , and the dealer is going to make it for free .

So the dealer is going to coat in all the paint swirls too? (Dealers never properly detail a car before they apply such products).

not the one we have locally they use system x coatings and they are trained by them , dont know about the one near you

I'm talking dealers in general ... if yours does proper detailing then you've hit lucky.

system x is one of the best ceramic so coosing that they want a good job and they have been professionally trained

Still waiting for my MG4 Long range trophy in Volcano orange ordered end of October and told that it would be about 8 weeks, lol! From my dealer in Twyford. Dealer still saying it is coming up a TBA on delivery, he says they have not had any orange ones come through. Above pics in Portbury don't appear to have any orange ones either from the Don Pasquale. Some parts of the country seems that they can't get rid of their orange ones, lol. How crazy! He now admits that the IT system was down but apparently now back up. I'm rapidly loosing faith in it ever arriving. Surely they should have a better system to say when they are scheduled to be delivered. My dealer can't even tell me the VIN number yet other dealers seem to be able to do this, why is this!

Welcome to the MG lottery, stock allocation is totally random. Made to order apparently only started in January

Am I to only one getting a Dynamic Red one? Can only see one Trophy in the picture and was told yesterday that it was at Portbury and delivery to the dealer expected around the 14th March. Getting a little bit excite.

my dealer told me my vin two months ago when they were still on ship to uk , so cannot see why your cannot tell you where your car is , mine told me step by step and two werks prior its arrive he gave me the exact date it would be here, and it did. My dealer in Malta is Muscats Motors and they are agents for other brands like bmw , land rover , jaguar , mini ecc so they are serious and reliable in the buisiness.

Thanks for the update. If they manage to get up and running this week, I’ll hopefully be able to take delivery of my car next weekend. I won’t be holding my breath though.

No, I’ve not heard anything recently, Ian. I had hoped to pick it up this weekend, but that’s not looking likely. As soon as I hear anything though, I’ll post it in this thread. A few more weeks and that will have been half a year.
