You would make an excellent stalkerGrand Pearl is a vehicle carrier used by MG - not sure what is on it of course - but it landed early hour of today at Portbury docks. It may or may not be relevant ....

I'm no sure but it seems to be a week or two and that may vary between dealers.how long does it normally take from Portbury to dealer?
It depends on how long the PDI takes at the port, during which they update the software so MG don't have to pay the dealers to do it. Then it has to be booked onto a transporter for delivery to your dealer. It will sit in their yard until they have time to do their own inspection and valet the car ready for the customer to collect.how long does it normally take from Portbury to dealer?
Thank you all, we have MG5 on order that was 'at sea' and the latest delivery date we've been given is 14th September so that all sounds possible, fingers crossed. It depends on how long the PDI takes at the port, during which they update the software so MG don't have to pay the dealers to do it. Could be 4 to 6 weeks from when the ship docks.
I've been told October/November, and had read elsewhere that there would be a second batch of a 1000 at around that time. Don't know if the SE in that group will include tinted windows as the first batch appears to have.
No bet.Fifty quid says they still have the bulging undertray!

Yes the time frame fits, so hopefully you'll have it by thenThank you all, we have MG5 on order that was 'at sea' and the latest delivery date we've been given is 14th September so that all sounds possible, fingers crossed.
Yes that is great news! Ahead of schedule too! I've not heard as yet, but my estimated time was end of August or start of September, so I'm hoping mine will turn up soon now.Brilliant news. I ordered on 4th June and was given an estimated delivery date of 15th September. I just heard back from the dealer that they expect the car at their dealership on 20th August (I assume it’s in the docks) and if I would require the car in August or September yayyyyyyyyyyyy
I bet yours is on the same shipment as mine and a few others on hereYes that is great news! Ahead of schedule too! I've not heard as yet, but my estimated time was end of August or start of September, so I'm hoping mine will turn up soon now.![]()
I have said to I would like it as soon as I can. I’m not bothered about having a 73 plate in September as it’s a salary sacrifice car anywayYes that is great news! Ahead of schedule too!
