Enjoy the smoothness of the driving experience and if you haven't already gone on to OctopusGo tariff use my link and we'll both get £50 credit and 4 hours at 5p/kW which should give you 100 miles over night.

Hi @P6cat .
Welcome to the EV world and I am sure you will not being missing your old car.
You are going to see a massive massive difference from your old car, that's is for sure !.
My brother has the blue exclusive, I have the red exclusive.
I see that you are collecting your car from "Cheshire Oaks MG".
I also note that you are from the North Wales area ( same as myself ).
Please do tell, where is the MG dealership on the Cheshire Oaks then, as this is news to me ?.
There is a MG dealership in Sandycroft that is part of the Gallaghers group ( it likes to be linked as Chester, but I don't understand how they arrive at that ).
Are you all sorted regarding getting a charge into your new car ?.
Granny to start with, then followed by a wall box I would suspect !.
This appears to be the logical path that most people travel down, I did.
Lots of stuff to consider now my friend.
Oh ....... You asked for "idea's" in your post.
You may regret asking for this, but here you go.
Firstly, get the MG interior protection pack straight away.
The tailored over carpets are an absolute MUST.
If you don't want to go OEM - Then that is fine, but get something and something that fits correctly.
One member has worn a hole in the drivers carpet because he had no over mats installed.
You will also get a nice boot liner in the protection pack ( handy if you have a dog or like to transport messy items like pot plants, garden centre stuff or any other wet items like coats and wet shopping bags etc ).
Front & rear mud flaps are also included in the kit as well.
When I last looked, it was around the £130.00 mark ?????.
You can add to your collection as you go along, but please get the mats at the very least.
Just some other items you may consider adding to your collect along the way.

YOU ASKED !.

1) A Type 2 cable for use at public charging posts and on a "Non - Tethered" wall box ( if you take this route ) unless the dealer will provide one FOC.
Don't ask, Don't get !.

2) A space saver spare wheel kit.
The ZS EV has the space for a spare ( unlike a lot of other cars ) so why not carry one ?.

3) A small jumper power pack ( 12 volt emergency battery boaster ).

4) Tinting the side windows is a fantastic ( and much needed option I.M.H.O. ).
You will see what I mean after a few trips in really hot weather.
We carry out grand children in the back of our car and it offers no UV protection via the glass.

5) And the most important of ALL.
Enjoy the car ( and you will ) and don't forget to wave at the folks in your local petrol station as
you go driving past.

You will NOT be seeing them for a LONG time now.

Please give us some feedback after your collection on Tuesday !.

Yes I agree with everything Lovemyev says.

What I'd also suggest is to sign up for a few key charging networks. It used to be be Polar but now BP Pulse will send you an RFID card which is useful at Supermarket Charging Posts allowing you to charge for Free. They charge you £7.86 or something a month after 3 months but cancel it if you don't find you use it enough, but can be a life saver while you are waiting for your Home Charger to be installed. I've kept my card on as it just about breaks even and also works at BP Pulse 50kW Rapid chargers which are not free but very widely available and 15 to 20p per kWh cheaper on the card.

Incidentally you'll see Contactless Payment on newer Rapid chargers but I'd always use the RFID card or App and account with that network rather than Contactless Payment with my Cash/Credit card as often the rates are lower as they don't incur banking fees I guess.

Like BP, Shell are also investing heavily in "Shell Recharge" and their RFID Card or Keyring Fob is another good one to get. Nice forecourts with Facilities when you charge.

One of the most expensive chargers to us are IONITY but this is because as an MG driver you aren't driving a car made by one of the consortium investing in the network. That said if you need a charge they are quick and re liable if expensive at 69p / kWh. what is worst though is that they take a refundable £69 pre-authorisation each time you charge, but they are very slow at refunding. There is a way around this and that is to sign up for an ElectricJuice account and use their RFID Card. I have one and it works on a number of networks some with a discount and bills everything back to my Octopus Energy Home Electricity bill. Another reason to have Octopus Go I guess.

To sign up for OctopusGo and get a £50 credit for yourself and for me go to share.octopus.energy/zappy-guppy-175

I have had my ZS Exclusive for2 months now, plugged in my granny charger once at home and twice when I went to see my son in London (safety net, 80 mile each way). The rest of the time I just plug it into the chargers at Tesco when we go shopping, totally free and every time it is a guaranteed parking space! I have now done 1200 miles and calculated it has cost less than a fiver (including cost for charging at my sons). I did put in for a pod point charger but gave up in the end as they said I would need to get my electrician to check several items for which I had already given them the answers to. I sent them a copy of my house electrical certificate showing a 10mm cable was supplying the garage and they replied saying it required a minimum of 6mm and 4mm was not enough! None of the paperwork had any 4mm cable and the photos clearly show the 10mm on the cable insulation. I have now decided that I actually do not need a home charger, at least until Tesco start charging or more EV get on the road.
