any advice would be good ?’
Hi
@P6cat .
Welcome to the EV world and I am sure you will not being missing your old car.
You are going to see a massive massive difference from your old car, that's is for sure !.
My brother has the blue exclusive, I have the red exclusive.
I see that you are collecting your car from "Cheshire Oaks MG".
I also note that you are from the North Wales area ( same as myself ).
Please do tell, where is the MG dealership on the Cheshire Oaks then, as this is news to me ?.
There is a MG dealership in Sandycroft that is part of the Gallaghers group ( it likes to be linked as Chester, but I don't understand how they arrive at that ).
Are you all sorted regarding getting a charge into your new car ?.
Granny to start with, then followed by a wall box I would suspect !.
This appears to be the logical path that most people travel down, I did.
Lots of stuff to consider now my friend.
Oh ....... You asked for "idea's" in your post.
You may regret asking for this, but here you go.
Firstly, get the MG interior protection pack straight away.
The tailored over carpets are an absolute MUST.
If you don't want to go OEM - Then that is fine, but get something and something that fits correctly.
One member has worn a hole in the drivers carpet because he had no over mats installed.
You will also get a nice boot liner in the protection pack ( handy if you have a dog or like to transport messy items like pot plants, garden centre stuff or any other wet items like coats and wet shopping bags etc ).
Front & rear mud flaps are also included in the kit as well.
When I last looked, it was around the £130.00 mark ?????.
You can add to your collection as you go along, but please get the mats at the very least.
Just some other items you may consider adding to your collect along the way.
YOU ASKED !.
1) A Type 2 cable for use at public charging posts and on a "Non - Tethered" wall box ( if you take this route ) unless the dealer will provide one FOC.
Don't ask, Don't get !.
2) A space saver spare wheel kit.
The ZS EV has the space for a spare ( unlike a lot of other cars ) so why not carry one ?.
3) A small jumper power pack ( 12 volt emergency battery boaster ).
4) Tinting the side windows is a fantastic ( and much needed option I.M.H.O. ).
You will see what I mean after a few trips in really hot weather.
We carry out grand children in the back of our car and it offers no UV protection via the glass.
5) And the most important of ALL.
Enjoy the car ( and you will ) and don't forget to wave at the folks in your local petrol station as
you go driving past.
You will NOT be seeing them for a LONG time now.
Please give us some feedback after your collection on Tuesday !.
