Just been quoted £293.36 for 2nd year service at Waylands Oxford. Just wondered what others were paying if worth shopping around. Also told £95 for the tesla charger update.

Thanks,

Simon

I recently paid £83 for the car's third service. As that gives you free AA cover for a year it's effectively £53. Bargain!

It was £165 for me and that included a brake fluid change.

Time to shop around then! Thanks

Another query - as this is the first car I've had where doing servicing to maintain a warranty. My initial understanding was that this is required every 12months or 15,000 miles. Is the 15,000 from the last service, or total? I assumed from last service but just looking at the below link, it mentions 2nd year or 30,000, does anyone know?

2nd garage I called quoted £309! Where are these cheaper garages!?

Thanks

Ah yes, should have remembered to say that I got a 'low mileage' service price. The normal one was nowhere near what you've been quoted though.

Whichever comes soonest, I think. You've got a month's grace on the time.

Is that low mileage since the last service, or overall? Mine's over average mileage, from first owner, but only 4000 from its previous service, when I bought it.

I don't know, but I would guess it's the actual mileage at the point of the service.

AA cover at the same level as the MG Assistance is usually nearer £150 excluding any promotions.

However I recently did a comparison for breakdown cover and it's inredibly cheap at the moment, cheaper than I have ever seen it. Annual vehicle cover, nationwide recovery, onward travel, home start etc from just £15.95 per year, no excess, unlimited callouts.

Interesting. I was working on the basis of what breakdown cover costs when bought with motor insurance.

Can I ask, are these services around £100 at MG dealers or others, I'm getting similar prices for the 4 mg dealers I've tried

£281 for second service at my local MG dealer then automatic renewal of full AA cover.

I have been quoted by MG dealer, a 5 year no increase in cost plan
£114 1st year
£220 2nd year
£114 3rd year
£250 4th year
£265 5th year
+ 2 MOT. @£54 each. This plan was £20 per month for 56 months.

Mine seem to be obsessed with brake fluid change , i am at almost 100k kms in 1 year 4 months and if it wasnt because i told them not to they would have changed it the 3rd time .
I use mine as a cab , and so at the 60k kms service (2nd service) i told them to change reduction gear oil (just use 900ml ) that service came up at €340 which is in my opinion is too high for an ev
