I think it's probably easier to add your car description in your signature.

Reliance on the signature isn't an ideal solution because many members (for good reasons) prefer to leave signature visibility switched off.

Ok then Alb so how can the wording in the avatar be change to read in my case at the bottom

Now Gomev I can see now at the bottom of your last post it says driving an MG5 LR I have never seen that before and have no idea how it got there you say on a PC to do this and thats fair enough but I don’t have a PC only IOS so I would be grateful if you could elaborate further.
The place I have ever notice any guide to what members are driving is at he bottom of the avatars and this signature thing I have never herd off.
Please excuse me if I sound untech savvy it’s because I am.

Hiya @Les burrows I have an Android phone so not savvy with an iphone and don't use an app for viewing this forum........but
Use an ordinary websearch on your phone for 'mgevs forum' and then go into it. It looks the same, albeit smaller as the web page. top right you can see your avatar, touch that , then signature.

I rarely use my phone for viewing forums as I don't find the small layout comfortable or easy to read, hence usually only use my PC/laptop in the mornings for viewing.

I think there must be a setting in the forum setup available to @Stuart Wright at least where he can add to the preset options in the dropdown on the 'Driving' element of your account profile.
This would be equally useful now there is a LR ZS as well.

Total agree with that Gomev which is why I kicked this thread off I did ask Stuart Wright at the bottom of my post #1 if there’s something that can be done about this.
Yeh as we have said there is quite a few variations in the models now and confusion can happen and perhaps mistakes made due to this.
Had an example of this in a new post only this morning a chap asking a question about cycle carriers said he had a MG5 and is looking for a rear mounted cycle rack so I explain to him officially the 5 can’t be fitted with a tow bar and then explained about the weight allowance on the roof rails if he goes with that type, and the difference between the early versions and the now later long range version, because it could be a brand new or older model I have no idea and they are different as we know.
