Tesla charging for ZS Long range

Should I be able to charge at a TESLA charging station which Tesla say can charge any EV?
Tried one on the A1 today with no luck.

If it's listed as an open Supercharger on the Tesla app, then the answer is yes, you should.

What was the error you got?

It is possible you need to take it to the dealer and ask them to fix your car. Some ZS' need a fix.

I tried installing Tesla app and tried selecting MG make in the drop-down list. But no luck, for non Tesla models, all other make and models are there but I can’t find MG. Why it is so?

We don't know why it is, but it seems you can set the manufacturer and model to "other" and it works. Discussed starting with this post:

something a bit fishy this morning...MG removed from the 'Vehicle Details' of the Tesla App where you can indicate your EV type for open supercharging

Failed to start charging. Keeps generating charging history with zero bill.

Try 1 or 2 other open Tesla chargers locations, maybe it was just a glitch on that day... If it was down to the app, others would report issues. On one occasion it took me 5-10 min to get the Tesla charger going due to (most likely) poor mobile phone signal

MG do not call it a 'fix' rather a software enchancement which they want £150 for. Been fighting to get it for free but have lost the battle now.

Interestingly, I charged numerous times using Tesla Superchargers using the app. I went to do it today and the app requested to enter my car details, which had been added previously, but I can no longer find MG in the drop down list.

This has changed in the last 2 - 3 months

Same things happened to me, but you can tap in another in the drop down box for the make and model plus add your range, not sure if it will work, but I'll try in a couple of days.

I would be interested to hear whether or not your charge is successful.

I'm thinking about getting a ZS LR . I'll check with the salesman this weekend , though I doubt they'd give me a definitive answer . For instance ,I was querying whether the SE had 360 degree cameras . He said only the Trophy .Went outside to look at the ZS I was interested in and cameras everywhere

To be honest, you should not base your decision on what model to get, based on 360 camera or not, it's really not worth it, the cameras look to be 0.1 MPixel ones.

My kids call it "Minecraft graphics".

It wasn't based on the 360 degree cameras ,I've managed without them for over 50 years . I was merely ascertaining if the salesman knew what he was selling .
I also asked about the Tesla issue ,he didn't have a clue

Most sales guys are never really on top of specs unless they are paid-for upgrades ...

They should be at an MG dealership but,sadly,it seems not
