This MG4 is an uncomfortable place to be

... a bit of context in a UK winter (Nov 24). Oil per month is around £200+l (currently it's cheap at 55p/litre), we do live in a grade F cottage. Using a ASHP (6kW Daikin), total bill for house, car etc was £106 (🐙)for Nov 24 = very happy (with no oil usage).

It is officially 40°C in the shade here at the moment, feels like and wind temp 44°C, UV 11 unhealthy to be in the sun at all.
The 5kW rooftop rattler inverter air conditioner in the motorhome is not coping with the heat, might need to plug the MG4 in and sit in there for a while, we still have 6 hrs till official sun down, but not a lot of hope of a cool night to sleep, expected 26°C at midnight.

Presumably. But then again I have always kept A/C on - in any car I've had which has included A/C. (Which is most for the past 15 years or more). As I said earlier - I treat my EV car no differently to how I treated my previous ICE cars in terms of general driving and usage. Even if I'm not getting the best efficiency, it's still way cheaper to run :)
Indeed, I drive my ev in exactly the same way as well.
I've now switched to auto and a temp of 22/23 and all seems well.
The ac is on all the time and the fan runs at quite a high speed but the temp and demist works fine.
As you say, probably not the most efficient but who cares.
The air intake direction seems to default to auto as well, which I guess uses internal airflow until the temp ramps up to the target.
Thanks for everyone's feedback 👍
