VIBRATION ISSUE - hot off the press!

Quicker!!
2 years for the under tray and counting
A year for the oil leak
Over a year for the vibration and counting
Safety systems and software systems still a work in progress over two years and counting.

The trouble is some people believe the rubbish that comes from MG UK.

He thanks me for my continued patience!

Continued patience my ringpiece!

That was December 1st 2023!!!!

Some might agree too much bloody patience!

I'm so glad we didn't part with any cash for the trophy the wife has, I'd be so disappointed. It handles and drives fine but it's cheap inside the software is abysmal and dealers and MG are a joke.

I was looking for another car and got a shot of an x power for the day, knew from here about the vibes and noticed them to varying degrees right away. Told the dealer when I took it back and they said no one had ever mentioned it before and it was possibly just because I wasn't used to an EV with two motors and probably just that I was noticing.
I just laughed and walked away and bought something else.

Strange as coming from a Tesla i think the interior is nicer and better quality and although software not as snappy i prefer it all round. Awesome car.
I have driven a lot of cars and so far i think the X Power will hold its own against any of them all round.

Tesla is a bit meh inside and definitely marmite with it's software.
MG4 decent software nowhere near as good as others, MG4 X power can't be denied as having incredible acceleration.
Long term what issues are being hidden by whatever fixe they have used to cover up the vibes, the one I had for the day although smile inducing was annoying as hell on normal driving at certain speeds, that vibe cannot be doing anything beneficial to components on the car

Had a test drive in an xpower, fantastic, no vibes at any speed, no rattles or unwanted sounds, as well put together as my previous BMW 330D. Can't wait for mine due in February, still waiting on a manufacturing date from the factory.
Here's hoping yours is exactly the same👍

Got to admit, mine is fantastic, car feels solid and handles awesome.
Running R40 software, barely any niggles so do not think i will bother to update it to any of the current later versions at least, LKA no drama’s works fine.
Fed up beyond belief with Tesla OTA crap so this is my reasoning for not touching the MG.
Got this car as a bit of a punt on the MG brand in general and out of curiosity of the X Power version, must say i am pretty surprised by how good it has turned out.

In the face of the offensive of its rivals, the new MG4 is making a move thanks to its Model Year. We have access to the official international market data, so you don't have to wait a minute longer.

Externally, there are hardly any significant changes. However, if we look closely, we can see that the 18-inch alloy wheels are extended to other trims in the range (outside the XPOWER sports version).

If we go into the cabin, we can appreciate the modifications much better. You notice something different, don't you? Yes, the new MG4 gets a 12-inch touchscreen, replacing the previous 10.25-inch touchscreen.

Found this on a motoring mags page!

So far I believe all of this is speculation, they may well be changes that are coming but there's no UK spec announced yet and it will be up to MG UK what appears on UK models.

Interesting podcast tonight fair play to Miles for reading out the communication from MG but they are sticking to it's a characteristic line and the only fix they are offering is the steering damper if you can prove you had vibrations.
Not the answer you will all be wanting to hear

But he also said they are not pursuing the suspension relocation 'fix' because it doesn't work!!!

So there is an X Power that had had that done, but it failed to cure the problem.

No one on here obviously.

To me it looks like our only hope is MG Australia/NZ fitting this kit to one of it's customers cars, as they seem more pro-active than MG UK, which clearly believes its customers are all fools. I'm genuinely interested to hear about the results from this kit being fitted.

I still very much doubt this kit would have been developed to the point of the parts being manufactured & technical bulletins written if testing hadn't shown improvement (although understand this is a controversial view from the perspective of some members on here and so have to reiterate, this is only my personal opinion).

Agreed, MG OZ, do seem to have a bit more about them. They are even into modding the X Power a bit.
But let's get the Vibe sorted first. 🙂👍

I may have misheard Miles but I thought he said the fix the bulletin talked about didn't make a difference on British roads so the UK won't be using it.

I may be wrong but I thought I heard that.

Damn those unique and always identical pesky UK road surfaces for scuppering this fix :ROFLMAO:
