I've just been to see my dealer today (14/3) to chase up my Volcano Orange MG4 Motability order placed 4th Nov, so this is the 19th week from order. Apparently the delay is with the VO colour. He showed me on the MG system where it shows "Shortage" as the only order information. He told me that prior to this it had been showing "TBA". He seemed as pee'd off as me with this because it tells you nothing. He thought it might be another 2 to 3 months before I got the car, so potentially 31 weeks if he's right.
The annoying thing was that he had a few MG4's there that had arrived, some of which were unsold but all were pre-registered. He said that MG will not permit them to order cars for stock. As a Motability customer that means I can't swap to one of them as Motability insist on being the first registered owner. If I had been a retail customer I could have had a choice of a couple and could have collected tomorrow ?. I wouldn't care but I nearly went for the holborn blue. If I had, I would have probably had it now ?.
