VOTE TESLA SUPERCHARGES with MG5

Hi again, and thank you for that information Jackios, re the MG4. as you may know my wife has one, it was one of the very first registered in the UK, and you're right about the dash, but you do get used to it. I drive it quite often and it’s a little go cart, but it is annoying at times trying to change anything. Regen is set at 3 as standard and normal mode is fast enough for me would I have one for myself. Well I could live with one but much prefer the ride of the 5.

And the PFL which I had first over the FL trophy I have now, the bigger wheels are to blame for that and a little less (20 miles) range to boot. but still a great car. But not worth the extra cost,

Les

I, finally, have the EVCC info from my PFL 5LR, which show it to be 11268368. This, from my understanding, can't be software updated, and would need a new EVCC.

The quoted cost of £680, which wouldn't be recouped over the life of the car, finished any interest I had in using Tesla charging.

It's a shame, but hey,ho I've managed for 3 years without it.

I have an EVCC-02 with the part number 11313393 which some have had updated to support Tesla chargers, but I'm still trying to find an MG garage that has done it. My local Chiswick MG said it'll cost £360 & a new part despite me telling them it can be done. MG themselves said try a larger dealer so I called Mill Hill MG, they were willing to have a look, but they didn't know anything about it, so I think it best if I can a garage that has actually done the update. If anyone knows an MG garage near London has done this EVCC number before please let me know.

Pop out to Bulldog Twyford, they did mine & have no issues doing it.
