Well this sucks (XPower crash tested) ?

That's what the guy in the plaster room at Warrington General said!
But I'm a bloke of substantial size, so that didn't help. Some say that if I had been less so, I may have done a lesser Ian Dury or may have even got away with a sprain.

I weighed 165kg on entry to hospital and my weight yesterday by hoist (yes, really, I felt like a cow!) was 157.7kg so I have lost 1.15 stone or 7.3kg since admission on 23 November.

Geez dude, that sucks, hope you’re feeling better soon. Trying to find a silver lining here and the best I can do is that you’ll feel better for having some weight off even if it was enforced. I’ve just dropped some since I started behaving and looking after myself in Sept, I’m much fitter and some of my clothes fit again!
Hope the road to recovery goes well, stay awesome Sir!

Bless you people!

You are all stars.

Your support and humour has been amazing and has really helped keep me going. The nurse told me off for mooing when I got weighed, but I told her if I wanted to moo I would! Humour is my way of dealing with a lot of situations, especially being in hospital (I have been in hospital a lot over the years since childhood), and dark situations, like the risks of death in surgery and loss of body parts during surgery.

Top marks for all your comments, but I have to say I think the titanium quip was top of the shop!

Due to my CP on the right side, I have yet to relearn to walk, but when I do, I shall be worried about falling over again!

Slow and steady.....
:)
