What do you think is the cheapest feeling part of MG4

Do the mirrors on the SE even have the motors to fold them? (It may be more than just software. Also, the Trophy has blind spot detection that flashes up in the mirrors - I don't think the SE mirrors have this LED/indicator in them).

I don't know, depends if is worth them making two types of mirror. But I didn't realise the SE didn't have BSD, so you are probably right.

For me the seat covers, but £160 off AliExpress resolved the issue (so now have grey / black, with a small bit of orange) - looks good (even if I say myself)!
Which one did you buy? And did they fit 100%?

Most sellers say:

1) mg4 doesn't fit
2) universal may have some issues
3) fits 90%

Let me know your experience as i have this under my radar... I love the black and blue.

One of the things i liked the most is seeing the blue stitches in the original seats. Weird isnt it?

So im matching the same design with mats, trunk mat and dash mats... And these seat covers have very similar design.

I wish i can trust they will fit as intended. Nothing loose or weird looking after installed.

Many of the 3rd party seat covers are designed to not impede the action of airbags on the MG4 and state so in their description.
The sun viser is cheap and when I fold it back up it pops out of its stay most of the time.

No seat belt adjustment is also a bit crap but despite this seems OK for me as I have my seat all the way back and down as I'm 6 feet 2 in tall.

Yes we also found this annoying, but I slipped a very small screwdriver under the spring clip, and levered it gently outwards to make it tighter, the sun visor no longer pops out now. 🙂

Doing some rough and ready internet searches, and with average wages in 1977 it would take 27 weeks money to get a Ford Cortina, todays averages, 40 weeks for the Trophy! Considering everything it contains , that's not to shabby.
Mind you , have you seen todays prices for a decent 1977 Ford Cortina. ? 🤯

I think the infotainment system is the cheapest looking and operating thing in the car, it's like a 10 year old tablet.

Seats, interior trim in general, sound system, thin paint, charging flap, all the ergonomics and the buttons, headlights, manual (heavy) tailgate. BUT, we still love our little MG4!
I agree but if it had better trim, thick paint, Bose sound system, quality charging flap, more buttons in the correct place, electric tailgate etc. I wouldn't be driving an MG4 as I couldn't afford it.

I have to say I had a Bose sound system in my previous Renault Kadjar and I think the Trophy's speaker system does well enough compared to it.

I'd say the cheapest bit in my 51 is the inside rear passenger lights ..... not there at all is about as cheap as you can get ...... but I still love it.
Might have to do a tour around the auto dismantler yards (we call the auto wreckers over here) and find what would look good, then fit and wire them up .... project number .... awaiting the wife's priority designation, but if it does happen, I'll do a thread on it .... seems to be a thing a lot of MG4 owners don't like ....... don't want to install primary cell battery powered units, they need to turn off when the car locks, otherwise it becomes a task replacing batteries after someone forgets to turn them off ....

Ok, it's not technically feeling cheap, but looking cheap, I think for me it is the plastic coverings along the side behind the rear doors. Mine are a strange dark brown, which really cheapens the look. As I have only had the car a couple of weeks, this is a bit concerning. The dealer thinks it may be something on them, like the Guard X. I am going to be looking at this more over the weekend so hopefully it will look better and I can find something else to replace this.
