Would you have another MG car after the MG4 ?

My MG4 is coming up to 2 years old and I am still very happy with it. So at the end of the 4 year PCP I intend to get another one.
My MG4 will be 2 years old come March 2025 and apart from a faulty ccu at the beginning the car has been a joy to me. It is cheap to run. I charge up at home for approximately 1 weeks motoring for £4. Servicing is a 5th of an ice car. Yes there are teething trouble but all cars have that.
My car is a long range SE and with careful driving I average (during summer) 325 miles of range, and up to 7.1 miles per kWh. Drop in Winter range doesn’t bother me as I don’t do more than 100 miles in a week.
Can’t complain with that.

I've had my MG4 LR Trophy for just over a year having had an Enyaq 60 for two years before that. The Enyaq certainly had a more refined interior and smoother ride but felt like driving a tank sometimes compared with the MG4. My feelings on the MG are mixed. On good roads I love the responsiveness and lightness of the car, but many of the roads round our way are rough and potholed, and the MG has a minimal effect on smoothing out those undulations.
My other concerns, as others have commented on this site, relate to my dealership and the lack of interest there in sorting issues, especially software issues, and (I may be being overly sensitive here) the creaks and rattles heard in the cabin when driving on any surface that isn't perfectly smooth. I've fixed some of these (loose rear spoiler, poorly aligned boot lid, loose rear wiper mount, etc), but this shouldn't be necessary in a car bought from new. I'm keeping the MG for another year, at which point I'll see what's around in the competition and what MG itself is offering then.

We’ve had the MG4 SE for 6 months now, our previous dealings with the dealership were let’s say scratchy but really liked the look and with the L/R just had to give it a go. So far it’s been a dream and goes like off a shovel if you want to play, and the other half loves driving it which is a bonus. The only thing I would change like many others is lane guidance thing which we just do it manually as soon as it starts but tbh am impressed so far 👍

I've only had mine for 4 months, and so far I have been very happy. Sure, there are some little glitches as everyone has pointed out, but the way it drives and the cost of ownership easily make up for those. I have had no problems with it. I only voted Maybe as I don't know what the market will look like several years down the track, but if I needed something right now I would definitely get another one just the same.

Had my first play with the remote today, 32°C out side no shade parking. So 10 min before we finished shopping I turned the A/C on with my phone. Car was nice and cool when we got in. I've never been able to do that before with any other car. One more feather in the MG4 cap.

Not sure my self I would have to see what’s out there for the money in 7 years which I would be stupid not to hold on to my X power for ..

With so many EVs spewing out who knows what. Will be available in that time ..

I think MG have done themselves a mischief with the X power vibe and the stalling to fix it ..

I’ve said before most people would be much more receptive to MG if the said hey we have an issue come in let’s fix it back to happy motoring !!

That does 2 very important things for customers.

1. Customers trust MG to sort there issues quicklyj and well ..

2. Gives return customers peace of mind that they will be looked after with their new purchase!!

The poll needs another option - Maybe, provided that MG's customer service has bucked up its ideas.
Agreed. I am looking for a second EV but I am not happy with the way MG support their dealers. What should be a simple issue often entails multiple visits to get repairs or updates done. Are other EV makes the same, or is it just MG? P.S. I like my MG4 a lot.
