Diagnostic VDI, VNCI, MDI with MG4

@haloweenhamster Hi mate, thanks for your detailed posts on the Firmware Updates. I started updating my Trophy last night, works like a charm. Was stressing though on the 7 part BMS Updates, i dont have a 12v charger and it took the battery down towards 11v, slow to update, was scared of bricking it lol.

I now have the cruise on the 1mph increements, hold for 5mph :)

Back on it this am to complete the rest of the firmware and configuration module updates.

Cheers

Best to have a battery charger on it while doing updates.
Yeah i understand mate.

Today though im getting this trying to logon to SIPS

ErrorCode-13:Error Code(20628) :

This User Has Logged In On Another Computer, Please Contact TAC!

Have you had this before? Only using 1 laptop so not logged in.

Scrap that, its just decided to work.

That happens if you don't logout properly from sips or if the public IP address of your internet connection changes. E.g. if you are using cgnat or on a mobile connection.

Thanks for the info, I'm almost complete on the updates but going to go grab a charger now just in case, ya never know which updates are gonna take time and sink the battery. I work in IT so know the risk losing power during any firmware updates. :)

Managed to get it to program by programming it as a replacement, other methods failed
Nice one mate.

Well I've applied all available updates and configuration files apart from the TBOX as we now know we need a secondary update on USB directly attached to the TBOX itself I believe from reading.

I've noticed two things so far.

Cruise control now increments in 1mph, hold for 5mph, which I was expecting and wanted.
I've also tested the remote A/C power on from the app. It did work before but if you tried with vehicle connected to charger, but not charging, it would not let you turn A/C on remotely.
I'm glad to say that now works fine.

So it's good for those who have the cheaper overnight electricity tarrif that ends at 05:30. No longer need to go out and disconnect it on cold mornings so we can turn A/C on to heat the car remotely.

Happy days.

Can you send me a link to the adapter you bought?

I assume you've tried selecting the language on the Info screen?

If that doesn't work then I suspect you've used English update files via SIPS - or there's a flag that needs selecting whilst updating to retain/choose the language. 🤷‍♂️

Hello everyone and thank you for everything.
following update of my car via sips by myself I have the ismart connection which works but when I am remote and the car has been off for 15/20 minutes no longer possible remotely... whenever I drive the application works well... do you have an idea?

I have already deleted and restored min vehicle. it does the same

THANKS

I had a car with the same fault, disconnecting the battery for a few minutes fixed it.

How do people.

Quite happy today. Had my car in for first service at MG. In between booking it in and having the service I updated all modules apart from TBOX and I also installed R59.

I told them about Bluetooth re pairing frequently. Said when I booked it in a few weeks ago that they would install R59.

Anyway chuffed to say they updated my TBOX and to my surprise updated software to R63!

Not heard of anyone else that's got it yet on the MG4.

There is a difference compared to R59?

I'm one of several Trophy owners who've had the r63 update (see the Software Update thread), but I think you may be the only one who's had the T-Box updated too.
Has the Bluetooth pairing issue gone away on your car? I'm asking because the evidence seems to be that r63 doesn't fix it, so I wonder if r63 plus T-Box 23E32 is the solution.
