Great day out with your MG? Post up a picture ?

Right I'll start!
Lovely day out today with my wife.
Took the back roads from my home, through the Pressilli Hills to Fishguard, and then onto Strumble Head Lighthouse.
A bracing and sometimes perilous walk along the coastal path for a few miles, before heading back for a Quality Fish and Chips from The Dolphin on the way back through. (Opposite the ferry terminal)

Took the day off yesterday and went down to the Dorset coast for a swim. Lovely day but I'm not a great picture taker, with the phone certainly, so here are some crap shots.

It was quite nice to get 4.0m/kWh even though driving completely normally (windows open or aircon on etc.). Reported at end, from a 100% start with balancing:
4.0m/kWh
Remaining 29% (dropped from 30% just after pulling into drive :-( )
172.9 miles driven
GOM estimates 69 miles remaining
Average 35mph

That would give the total range 173 + 69 = 242

Just to check, the same within errors of 173/(1-.29) = 243

We had a double birthday celebration at Rockingham over the weekend, people came from Queensland, Canberra and NZ. We hosted the Canberrans, daughter and Granddaugther. On the way home we stopped in at Point Perron, and got this pic of rainbow over Penguin Island.

Should have had the MG parked here, but it was at the start of the climb, around the corner.
This is the best shot I could get of it in the car park. You can see wife daughter and granddaughter waving to me.

Happy Birthday M8 ?
Looks great!

When I saw Rockingham, I thought "hang on a minute, that's a car park now, then I kept reading.

A very different Rockingham!
Shame really.

Shame in what way, that you aren't here, or we aren't there?

No wasn't my birthday, it was Wife's and eldest daughter's

And this is on the way home, this is about 10kms from Rockingham,

Just had a look online, and your Rockingham is much more scenic than ours. Castles and things -, we only have the Indian ocean and a few Islands. The one directly opposite, Garden Island hosts a Navy base, and in the near future probably nuclear submarines, thanks to the AUKUS deal

A shame that a great racetrack has been reduced to being a car park.

I've done 100s of laps there, and it was great to drive and ride.

Must have cost a fortune to run as it was, so becoming a storage centre must be more profitable.

OK in that case I agree, a shame indeed.
I only had a brief period playing on tracks, but then my passion turned to surfing, and vehicles had to become more practical with high clearance and plenty of room.

Good Grief m8
How long were you stuck in all that traffic?
My idea of Hell!

It’s about 120 miles, two and a bit hours and eight gallons or so of pollution juice each way. It was generally going at my usual happy 55/60 mph but bottle necked to a standstill now and then.
I had spare fuel and sand ladders etc. on the 4x4 Ram truck but the desert route was over 40C and we’d only have been stuck behind RVs and campers towing all their off-road toys. We might have been distracted like last time ?
