Joke thread

Not a joke, it happened today.

A work colleague said that Bentley are pushing back their switch to EVs as they are not selling and the charging infrastructure is lacking.

So i said that i'm sure the circa 1300 cars they sell a year won't make a jot of difference if ev or not to the charging network.
Then said their sales are down 40% compared to last year and this is while they are still ICE so you can't blame evs.😆😆😆😆

Because it's divisive. There are probably people on here who have strong views in both directions, and let's not provoke them to anger.
Sorry, Rolfe. Don't agree, it's a Joke, a Laugh. Surely no one can get upset with them. Other forum's I've posted those on,
haven't batted an eyelid, just laughed.
That's my take on it, anyway. 🙂👍

I agree with Rolfe, touching on politics or religion can be offensive to some people.
On our windsurfing forum there's almost a never ending war of memes, and I find that a PITA, it's one of the good things about this forum, that doesn't happen, and it would be good to keep it that way.

However, I did mark the crying statue of liberty as funny

Sorry, still don't agree. If it's a nasty Politics/Religion post, then yes, agreed. But those posts, are not. Just tongue in cheek, a bit of a giggle, that's all. Not offensive. Not even to the most touchy of people. 🙂👍
For what its worth here's my two penneth worth. In a normal democracy if over 50% find it acceptable, then that carries the day. If one person in a hundred ( I'm not getting at Rolfe here) finds it offensive and that carries the day , then that's PC gone mad. Stopping it, even on a suggested voluntary basis before that happens, and I fully understand the reasons why, seems to represent an ostrich hiding its head in the sand.
Humour, especially British humour lets people get a message across, reflects their point of view without insulting or being offensive and gives an opportunity to like-minded folk to agree either with the sentiment or the humour of it.
If it gets out of hand and nasty, then thats the time to stop it, and after all this is the Joke thread.

I have long wondered how the freshwater fish managed to survive the Biblical Flood, which covered the entire earth with a saltwater ocean.

I finally found the answer:
There was a second Ark containing floor after floor of freshwater tanks in which they lived through the Deluge.

It was called the Multi-Storey Carp Ark.

The problem is with who ever pulled that beer, too much head, it should be above the glass, not 1/3rd of the contents ;) :ROFLMAO:

I do like the look of the icy bits towards the bottom, but that could be to do with 38*C and scattered rain here at the moment
