Makes me Smile (XPower praise)

Fake engine noise in an EV, does nowt for me at all. I like the idea of my X Power, being a Silent Assassin! ๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘

Ya see.

It's a good job were all different.
(Or "Special" in my case) ๐Ÿคฃ

I like the fake noise.

I think I'd hate it if I couldn't turn it off though.

No worse than the fake noise generated by a computer game IMO.

You know we did all this a couple of months ago, right? ๐Ÿคฃ

Yep, but folk, still won't listen. ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿ‘

I think the general consensus on the 5N fake sound is that it sounds much better in reality and adds to the driver engagement and emotion, especially when using the fake gearbox mode. Personally I would probably have it turned on most of the time when driving on my own (not motorway) but probably not with passengers (depending on who they are) . As one review said - the fake sounds and fake gear box appear very gimmicky and jokey but once you have driven the car for a while it is really pretty good. Hyundai took a bit of a risk risk with it ... as if all reviews were poor they would have been made a bit of a laughing stock for doing it, but the opposite seems to have happened.

Having sat in one, it's just a quality place to be the seats feel really supportive, obliviously not chucked it around any corners but I don't think there will be any issues with slipping about.
It is just full of nice little touches (some may call them gimmicks) but from the engine noise (which they let me hear and does sound better in the car) the LEDs round the speakers and on the seats and the one I was in was really solid feeling
It is however a big heavy looking car, getting a test drive next weekend hopefully, waiting to hear back.

Nothing but nothing comes close to the xpower, for value for money and smiles per mile, had mine 9 months now and love it even more each time I get to drive it. My only gripe is that I cannot get over the difference in battery consumption in this ultra cold spell. I never thought for one moment I would be seen behind the wheel of this car in eco mode, but lately it's been a must to get back Home to my super economy Zappi!! Us old folks can't afford those rip off charging stations.

Your are right bang for buck brand new there is nothing, lease deals and used yes there is.
I do however feel for little bit more outlay they just could have made it a bit more special.
Seats, rubber, suspension, interior lighting, sound system and it would be on another level. Could have probably added all/most of that and still been under the ยฃ40k luxury car tax band

Off an Australian YouTube channel where they drag raced them, considering the price gap the X Power does well to keep it so close up until it gets above 60 when it starts to get left behind, 0-200kph (124 mph) is a big difference but how often would someone do that.
40-62 mph so overtakes are a fair bit better.

Again all relevant to cost
