Guys,
I take it that the car (even with that slow rate of charge (and we can only be talking about AC charging (I think) as DC charging bypasses on board charger and charges the battery pack Directly) the car starts off with a full SOC in the morning ,if so what is all the fuss about the charging rates. So who cares about the charging rate anyway as long as you can charge up overnight, that is all that matters. What IS important is the charge rate when charging up on a long fun and even then it's not really the charging rate you should be concerned about but how long it takes. You will not be using AC charging on a long run anyway because it's useless (too long) but the CCS, so as long as CCS charging gives you 80 percent in under 45 mins then stuff the AC charging rate. You must never forget that for battery health that slow charge is better anyway. As a mute point I ALWAYS plug my car in EVERY night no matter what the charge level is and don't care about battery health as I always want a full SOC every morning and I will let the warranty deal with any problem that may occur with the battery. So if you like the car otherwise, keep it and enjoy it for the moment and stop worrying about the battery charging rate. I myself are keeping mine until the MG e-motion comes out and jumping ship then.

i care actually for resale values, and why should i be a beta tester for MG and it won’t charger on Rapid as it won’t handshake with any charger, so multiple problems for me.
