I reported to MG dealer. Who requested I set again to 80% and when I charge again to take note of what happens.Hi all. My charging port lights have stopped working when I plug in to charge at home, I was wondering if anyone else has also had this issue?
Not the biggest problem, I'm absolutely loving the
I have the same. I had set the li.it to 80%. I noticed that no lights were showing even though I had 65% battery lev
I later checked and found I was then at 68% so left it charging. But later I found that on dashboard picture that at 78,% it had stopped charging with a triangle ?️ with ! Mark on it. I then removed the charger and set to 100% suddenly the green lights were now showing and charged to 100%.

@FlyingDutchman have you now overcome the periodic failure of the charge port lights by means of a software update or component replacement by your MG dealer?Ask your dealer to update charging module. Mine did this a couple of times but has since settled from an update a while back. Could be a coincidence…![]()
There is a video of how to pull out and then replace a fuse in post #26 of this thread. It's a little way down the second page of posts.Mine stopped working about a month after I got my car (18 months ago). It was tricky for me to take back, but perhaps I ought to! It doesn't make much difference to me as I know when it's charging.

The charge port lights will almost certainly come back to life.
Good luck ?
In contrast mine stopped working last August; dealer tried everything to no effect; came back in December and have worked ever since. (My Christmas present from MG?)Mine were fixed with an update in March and have worked ever since.
Hello, all I can say is that it’s not done it in a very long time. This can either be a coincidence or a module software update applied.@FlyingDutchman have you now overcome the periodic failure of the charge port lights by means of a software update or component replacement by your MG dealer?
Last time (third time) mine failed I left them not working as my second service was due and I wanted the dealership to witness it and have a chance to make a permanent fix. They tell me the fault requires a component replacement and it's on order, they'll call me...
It would be good to achieve a permanent fix for this issue. But I have to say resetting by fuse removal is now just a simple task, although my life would be no less complete if I never had to do it again.
How do you do this? I've seen a connector with two wires plugged into the battery terminal, but I haven't been able to unplug it by pulling it with my hand. Is it just hard? Or am I doing something wrong?I've posted it before, but the MG recommended power reset is NOT to disconnect from battery terminal. DO disconnect the power lead from battery sensor attached to the battery.
This just happened to me today. I don't see any light at all, not even a faint one.My charge port lights stopped working after about a month of owning the car, and they stayed off for months. Recently, they came back on, but now the colors are off. For example, when charging, it shows a faint blue light instead of the usual solid green pulsating light. It’s odd, so I'll have the shop check it out when it goes in for service in a couple of months.
