MG4 - First UK dealer hands on photos and specifications

In which case it likely applied to only their dealership.
We need to know who this dealer is who's getting 600 - 1300 cars ?

Just as likely, based on reported experiences, MG UK forgot to order granny chargers for 600 or parcel shelves for 1300 ?

Well, they can't stop us laughing....although they're having a bl**dy good try! ?

You'd imagine dealers would want cars with them for the training course - hands-on is always better than classroom. :)

@Miles Roberts CG could you please confirm that the first 1300 MG4s will come with a Type 2 cable instead of the 3 pin EVSE?
Also is it true that 600 SE owners will benefit from a free rear privacy glass upgrade?
Sorry for the delayed reply. Yes, due to a shortage of 3-pin cables, they are shipping with type2-type2 32A cables in the first batch of MG4 to arrive.

The first 600 SE vehicles will also have privacy glass, due to a mis-build which MG UK were only made aware of once they were on the water...

Is the 'mis-build' factory fitted privacy glass?

Will EVSE cables be supplied when available? My new company car will be a red Trophy, I will charge at work from a tethered wall box, really would prefer to have a granny charger for occasional use when I'm away.

Well ive already bought a type 2 cable but so be it. Spare is fine and since im having podpoint fitted at home granny would be less use o suppose. I did wonder whether a few of the SE cars on youtube reviews looked like they had rear privacy glass but i wouldn't swear either way. If my SE has it I'm not upset.

I agree, I have given my “Granny” charger very little use in our previous Gen 1 ZS EV and no use yet on our Gen 2 ZS EV.
However, it is a handy back up system when taking a short holiday break into areas of the country that has poor charging infrastructure.
Not everybody has a charging post to offer, but most people in the U.K. do have a three pin mains outlet socket to offer ?.
I only ever carry the “Granny” lead when we are travelling to remote areas ( e.g. mid Wales ) knowing the public charging is poor.
To be honest, there is not much difference in price between a third party Granny lead and a third party type 2 cable these days.
Many people take the option to buy a Type 2 cable if they have a Granny lead supplied.
So, in affect it’s pretty much the same thing really ?.
You can’t have too many back up options with an EV I find ?.
“Winner winner chicken diner” if you have ordered an SE and get the free tinted glass ?.
What the hell happened there, how did the car receive the wrong glass at the factory and nobody picked it up ?‍♂️.
