really would prefer to have a granny charger for occasional use when I'm away
I agree, I have given my “Granny” charger very little use in our previous Gen 1 ZS EV and no use yet on our Gen 2 ZS EV.
However, it is a handy back up system when taking a short holiday break into areas of the country that has poor charging infrastructure.
Not everybody has a charging post to offer, but most people in the U.K. do have a three pin mains outlet socket to offer ?.
I only ever carry the “Granny” lead when we are travelling to remote areas ( e.g. mid Wales ) knowing the public charging is poor.
To be honest, there is not much difference in price between a third party Granny lead and a third party type 2 cable these days.
Many people take the option to buy a Type 2 cable if they have a Granny lead supplied.
So, in affect it’s pretty much the same thing really ?.
You can’t have too many back up options with an EV I find ?.
“Winner winner chicken diner” if you have ordered an SE and get the free tinted glass ?.
What the hell happened there, how did the car receive the wrong glass at the factory and nobody picked it up ?
