MG4 likes and dislikes We agree

Thanks for that Ian but I think they are to extend the retractable part of the seat belt a bit for example as shown in the picture for a lady who is pregnant, what is needed is something to bring the anchor up a bit higher above the seat bolster. But as I said before many thank
Les.

On a second look these might work in the back think I might send for one to look at it thanks.

Ok .dislikes: Bluetooth will only play what you've been playing on you phone .You can't select albums.artists or shuffle.
Interior lighting is a bit woeful .
Also (question)Do the brake lights come on when using regen? If not, that's a dislike
Otherwise still loving it!

Brake lights is a point I wondered about as the MG5 had a recall concerning this very point but even in that they only work on the highest level I agree about the light rest of you points I don’t know anything about.

Brake lights SHOULD work on full regen as they replicate the braking action. To prove it on my car I had a mate drive behind me with hands free comms to confirm it and give me confidence. The handbook on my car (not MG) says it did but the proof of the pudding is in the eating. If I did not use full regen it was the equivalent of either using gear slowing or freewheeling and the brake lights did not come on. That was using paddles.
Now we need someone to try it on the MG4...would adaptive regen know you were stopping if you took your foot off the accelerator for example or do all modes do it? Interesting question tbh

Drove a Renault Mégane etech on Sunday, brake lights only activate on max regen, nothing else

Surely if MG had to do it via a recall on the 5 they'd have made sure it was on the 4 from the off .
I think it's not there as I nearly ended up with a white van man rear ending me as the car was regeneration braking on the highest setting .

Proof of the pudding test required I believe,as stated previously, only then will know for sure ?‍♂️

If you drive when dark you should be able to see your brake lights reflecting in the vehicle behinds number plate if you look carefully.
This has worked for me in the past for checking on my ZS EV

It's definitely there on SR as you can see the glow in the rear glass around the high level light. I would have thought that it would be obvious on the Trophy on the spoiler.

Well I to would like to think they MG have learned this other wise there will be another recall going out from MG I would think, the other difference between the too cars is by default the MG5 on start up is Normal mode brake level 2, but auto braking lights only work on Regen level 3 that’s because the Regen is slowing the car down much quicker in level 3.

Now on the MG4 that car defaults in normal Regen 3 which is its highest as does the ZS I believe I’m right in saying, now we know the ZS brake lights work so we can only assume that the MG4 does as well. We need to do some checking I think. On the MG5 to fix it took about 20-30 minutes software update I believe.

I've just checked with a colleague in my work carpark and with regen on 3 ,which is always how I leave it, the brake lights came on.
Obviously just bad driving on the part of the guy who nearly went in to the back of me.
Thank you for that posting Nick helpful to all I’m sure.

I am a short woman and find the wide sills very difficult on exit - swing myself all the way round with both legs out then use my feet on the sill to pull me to the very edge of the seat so I can get both my feet on the ground.
I'm not sure the sill is designed to be weight bearing. Just be a bit careful stepping on it or even using it to pull yourself to the edge of the seat. If it were to deform or break it may not be repaired under warranty.
