R59 isn't a good update in my opinion because they disabled HVAC access from AA and Carplay.EU does not provide R59. Only UK.
I prefer R46 with the least LKA update

There is improvement from R46/R59?They don't know what they're talking about. Never saw R48 for SWI68. R40, R46 but no R48.
R63 is rolling out since November 11th, some dealer succeeded to have it since late September

See my correction.They don't know what they're talking about. Never saw R48 for SWI68. R40, R46 but no R48.

I see BingBong already asked. What does R63 offer compared to r46?
You can describe the process.
I 'm supposed to have the latest acc update available since May. It still sucks. It steps on brakes like a scary dog when trucks are to left and right of me.But I insist, all modules need to be up to date for a good experience. Since April (FDR and FVCM update), ACC is adorable.
This related to BCM update and not FDR and FVCM.Since the FDR and FVCM update, speed setting up 1 to 1 instead 5 to 5, ACC cruise distance is memorize and no more drops in curves and you can switch from ACC and TJA by holding MG pilot button in the steering wheel.
If you don't have this, maybe the update isn't complete. Since the last update, anytime I start my car, ACC is set in short distance (I set it like that), I play with TJA more often and use the ACC as soon as I can.
I have all this. Still plays games...Since the FDR and FVCM update, speed setting up 1 to 1 instead 5 to 5, ACC cruise distance is memorize and no more drops in curves and you can switch from ACC and TJA by holding MG pilot button in the steering wheel.

It is possible you didn't get that update - updates can silently fail to apply properly but still show as applied to the dealer. They need to check the versions afterwards to be sure but I suspect many don't.I 'm supposed to have the latest acc update available since May. It still sucks. It steps on brakes like a scary dog when trucks are to left and right of me.
When overtaking trucks, at first it correctly sees me in the left lane. There is a delay in picking up speed though if you ended up within minimum range of the truck before the overtake started. But it doesn't come to the point of accelerating again. The car suddenly and briefly thinks the truck is in front of me again (as shown in the display, which it isn't of course). This triggers the system to drop the speed once more.
So I start with 100kmh to approach a truck, you get stuck and need to wait to overtake while speed drops, then you overtake and the car drops in speed again. All down to 89 kmh in some cases. It happens in every regen mode including adaptive. What is the use of an adaptive system if it does not adapt correctly? Apart from that, it also sees phantom cars.
For what I know and my dealer told me, they updated FDR and FVCM before I get this improvements. This related to BCM update and not FDR and FVCM.
The FDR (Front Detection Radar) is for the ACC and the FVCM (Front View Control Module) is for TJA auto steering. For what I know and my dealer told me, they updated FDR and FVCM before I get this improvements.
And I not the only one who get this. I'm not telling you u're wrong but can't be agree with what you say. If it was a BCM update, why they don't tell me that ?
Are you sure by that statement? If either FDR or FVCM go down you lose all driver aids that use them, I also don't think the BCM has anything to do with that systemThe FDR (Front Detection Radar) is for the ACC and the FVCM (Front View Control Module) is for TJA auto steering.
I don't think that these modules control the way that you activate/deactivate the system. Only the actual performance of the systems and how they work.
Maybe your dealer is a smart one that understands that all the systems should be up to date to complete the overall user experience.
I got the ACC buttons update and I don't see any behavior improvements of the ACC/TJA.Are you sure by that statement? If either FDR or FVCM go down you loose all driver aids that use them, I also don't think the BCM has anything to do with that system
It's normal to have radar & camera that work together to reduce glitches
Sorry , can I just double check that the latest for an SE SR is R38 ? (I'm still on R33)I've not been in the car enough since the update to make an informed opinion, but first impressions are that it seems better.
