I always knew there were two issues with the heatpump (UK versions do not have a HP).Is it really a temperature difference? to me it feels that after 20/30 minutes in the car, the hvac starts to blow significantly colder then it did at the beginning of the ride...
But this behaviour was the same on R46, 59 and 63, so it's not (only) a FICM issue
The first is the T offset. They claim to have fix it it. But I have my doubts. They may have simply reduced the displayed value. But that is something I can test before and after they upgrade my car. I'm still on R46 with separate modules from May 2024.
The second is that the HP is an on/off version as it just an aircon with an additional system to invert it to a heater. There is no resistance heater on EU versions. Once a set T is reached (whatever it is) it simply shuts down the heating function and goes into classic aircon mode. This is why you feel cold air coming in. This is particularly frustrating in the winter with cold air and near 100% humidity outside.
