MG4 Software Update Thread

happy new year to all, a curiosity, but with R63 the weather doesn't work?
it's the same on R59. After the servers were repaired yesterday i reactivatd my device and got a weather forecast. but just half an hour after it stopped working ("implementation is failed").
The servers seem to be pretty unstable.
i can't recommend reseting the activation, because if reactivating doesn't work, you are stuck with pretty much no functionality.

Yes, for now, I wouldn’t touch anything!

It’s clearly a server-side issue, so the best approach at this point is to simply wait.

Do you mean from R59?

If R63 in the Trophy is anything like R38 in the SE then it should be accompanied by an HVAC software update. These updates make the HVAC target temperature work correctly.

Having tested both R38 and R63 on my SE, I can confirm that the temperature offset issue seems to have been corrected in both releases.

Dived-in and ordered one for myself. Supplier is in Hong Kong and order summary was still showing 10-35 days (without paying extra) although did also note something like 5-10 days further down the page - will have to wait and see how it pans out...
Hoping I'll have similar success checking/updating modules on the MG5 + I have an older MG6 (2016 facelift model) that my daughter's been using and which needs the start-stop resetting so fingers crossed that I'll get my investment back pretty quickly!

It is definitely a separate update somewhere.... because I have R59 but my temperature worked correctly before I got that, due to some other update they threw at my car to try to fix various issues.

This is what was written on the link:

NB: The R38 update brings the Center point of the heating settings to 21°C rather than 25°C but requires the SIPS files to be up to date for the HVAC and FICM.

Is it really a temperature difference? to me it feels that after 20/30 minutes in the car, the hvac starts to blow significantly colder then it did at the beginning of the ride...
But this behaviour was the same on R46, 59 and 63, so it's not (only) a FICM issue

It's weird. I got R63 one month ago and I'm sure dealer only update MPU from usb drive and HVAC was totally different of R46. And I checked SIPS report and I didn't see any other update, exept FICM to fix charging scrollbar on december 19th.

I put this down to temperature equalisation: once it reaches the target it gets colder to maintain. Is this not the case in your car?

Well the trip page doesn't appear to be accessible anymore

There hasn't been any HVAC updates in a long time, my HVAC was updated 4 months ago & still the latest
R63 changed the temperature request figure to the hvac

Temperature was offset by 3°C.
