Old and new software really makes a difference. I was 'lucky' to get a Trophy LR v1 from late 2023 as a replacement car today. It was on R46, but it had no OPD, old maps, no LKA updates, a faulty charge settings as it just went to 100% etc....
Boy, did this thing drive differently compared to my ER with the latest updates!
LKA was rough and flawed. Indicator on and still steering corrections popped up. ACC was tough on brakes when closing in. Steering set in sports mode seemed heavier but less direct (17 inch continentals). Smoothness of adaptive regen was hardly better compared to level 3. Heating had no idea of the temperature in the car....
Go and get the latest updates and judge again.
There were more differences. But they are related to the battery for sure. When I brought my ER to the dealer, energy consumption dropped down from the max after about 3kms. It was - 3 degrees at that moment.
Leaving the dealer with the 64 kWh MG4 trophy, it took me more than 10 kms before the energy consumption started to fall. At 13% it started to reduce power! I had to floor it to safely overtake a truck.... The ER starts to reduce power only at around 5%, and much less so.
