Some files are slightly different and maybe it failed the last signature check. However if everything is working, it's fine..

Thanks for the info. I do wonder which to select and why.
Why one site and not the other? MG EU seems the right place, the title of the download "Map Update 2023 Q4 - Luxury Edition" is exact in my case.
Do you mean the other site is for other MG4 variants (UK, standard, etc)?
What about the alternative? what is iov-mapmg.soimt.com , how were you referred to this one (the other seems obvious and accurate for my case)
I stress once again that I very much appreciate your contribution and your effort you give

I got a message on infotainment screen, just before confirming to start, to keep the car in READY mode during update. So I got cold feet and aborted.
Pretty sure that means don't lock the car right? So if I do leave the car, it should be somewhere where I don't have to lock, I assume? - but the car locks itself automatically in a few seconds ... unless I leave a key in?

Aaarghhh!!
I started to update my maps. I was warned clearly, to keep the car parked in READY mode.
After a couple confirmation messages, the final two system interactions was (something like) "upadating map resources" and then after 1-2mins "writing map files", after which a progress bar started in another couple of minutes.
That's when I made a mistake!! I opened my door... of course the car left READY mode and the process stopped!
Now the infotainment system is stuck with a warning popup window "updating map resources" and I cannot operate anything from it. I tried locking and unlocking to restart the car, no good.

Edit: after leaving the car for about an hour, I re-entered and this time the car "woke-up" from a deeper sleep (when the image of the car with the halo as it loads). This time the infotainment was ok. Restarted the loading and this time I waited in the car, until it finished.
Message when I started the Nav first time was "this map data is not correct for your car" and did not start. On the second attempt, the Nav loaded up. Now I have data from 2023Q4. Wish it were newer...

M4 Luxury Long Range, infotainment r59, usb stick formatted NTFS, time: 30'
Take a book, play radio, read magazine... take a nap, but don't open the door.

Really is the map that recent on that site? Because the other MG Europe site has 2023 Q4 - or typo with your 3s and 4s ?

Happens using Edge and Chrome browsers.

But I get the option to download from here:

By entering the 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) below, you can access and view all your manuals more conveniently online.

So my VIN is recognised and correct.

On R63 in the UK. Haven't tried actually downloading yet and therefore updating the car as I'm not sure which maps update package I should be using.

Is there a definitive guide to updating the maps for UK cars?

I've got a MG4 XPower.
When I enter my VIN in web page https://iov-mapmg.soimt.com/#/downloadMap and click on Next button, the page displays a red error message at the top: "Please confirm whether your vehicle is equipped with navigation and if the features are activated. Thank you"
(tested on Firefox and Chrome)

Is there a bug on server?
is the Xpower incompatible with this page?
