PD0052 update

Are you referring to the PD052 update, or is there another/later update PD0052.
If you are referring to PD052, then yes.
On the 24th of March my car was booked in to replace the light strip on the N/S door, under warranty. In the event, the strip was not replaced, as the wrong part had been received?
I was also informed that there were two software updates, PD052, and PD050, and these would be installed.
I have never experienced the excessive revs problem, but following the installation of update PD052 I AM, Going up a reasonable incline, in a que of traffic, doing 35MPH, the revs suddenly increase to 5,000 and do not reduce for some time. When overtaking the revs go up to around 4,000, but there is no loss of power, and then the high revs remain for some time. I much preferred the hybrid operating system, prior to the PD052 software update.
I was informed that the other update PD050, was to improve the operation of the front facing camera. What has happened is that instead of improving anything, the auto dipping feature no longer works properly, in that the operation to dipped beam is delayed, causing oncoming drivers to flash their main beam headlights. The delay in switching to main beam has increase to around six seconds, resulting in my having to resort to operating the dipped/main beam manually.
I reported this to my dealership, and they said they would investigate when they have received the correct light strip. As the first replacement part took 2 months to arrive, I’m anticipating a similar delay regarding the time scale for the, hopefully correct part, to arrive.
Something to do with breweries springs to mind.

An update, on my previous post.
Since the update to PD052, I’ve learnt a lot, and can now say that the car is more responsive, and a pleasure to drive.
My initial perception was that there were many instances when higher rpms occurred, and this appeared to be negative.
However having accepted that the primary benefit of PD052, is to prevent situations where the dangerous ‘lack of power scenario’ occurs, by ensuring that the traction battery is never depleted. There has to be a trade off, and this has resulted in my altering the way I drive.
Not only has this resulted in a more relaxed driving experience, but there has also been a noticeable increase in mpg. The overall mpg record was deleted, when the update was applied. Over a couple of hundred miles, it’s now in excess of 62 mpg.🤗 I appreciate that heating is no longer required, however it’s been replaced by my use of the air-con.
I also use regeneration level 3, which, provides almost one peddle driving, just a dab of the brakes to come to a halt is required, and then the auto-hold operates and releases as soon as I touch the accelerator pedal.
Oh, and the sun is shining 🌞.

I appreciate that heating is no longer required, however it’s been replaced by my use of the air-con.

It should however be considered that heating requires the ICE engine to run at more or less idle, whilst the AC is run off the hybrid battery, so even at the 1-2 days we had proper AC weather, one could immediately see that unlike heater, the AC had comparably barely any impact on economy. That might change when we reach proper summe rather well in excess of 30 degrees, but we will see.
