As I was dragged by the family to Cribbs Causeway today I decided to test out the Tesla Superchargers there as they are open to all EVs. I used the ones by John Lewis in car park A. If you're on travels along the M5, Cribbs Causeway is very close to junction 17 of the M5.

There's plenty of chargers (12 I think), and all 250kW capable. For the first time I saw the car charge to its full potential, hit 121kW in the early part of the charge, and slowed towards the end. These chargers are slightly more expensive than the other two locations in Bristol that are open to all EVs, and are 55p per kWh at peak times to non members.

I was the single non Tesla EV charging, and you could see some strange looks from Tesla owners, they probably don't know these chargers are open to all.

According to Tesla the UK is a ' Minor Outlying Island'

They're probably right.

Yes, I've used those ones too. Only ones I haven't tried yet, are the ones near Cribbs Causeway at the Tesla Preowned centre.

I used the Tesla open to all at Uttoxeter services on the A50 (Staffordshire). Absolutely brilliant..........started charging at 138 kW before reducing. I was all alone in the Starbucks enjoying a coffee when behold........ another MG4 turned up. We looked great together, and not a Tesla in sight!

Glad to know these 100% work and generally seem a little quieter. Have a long drive to see relatives in Devon so would normally stop at Gordano. As they only have Tesla-only superchargers, this is now my stop on the way.

Thanks for sharing!

Looking in the Tesla app it doesn’t show the Tesla chargers as being open to non Tesla drivers. It does show a bank of Gridserves next to them.
