Had my 2nd service today ... all was done as expected, except the rear undertray support as the parts weren't in - I'm getting that done next Thursday.

This is what's listed on my invoice:

As can be seen my FICM has been updated to 1100R38 (as well as some other module updates). :)

Confirmation of the Infotainment update can be seen below:

There's nothing obviously different (that I've seen so far) vs 1100R33, other than the external temperature may have lost the 0.5°C increment ... to be clarified. (Temperature driving home was showing as 11°C ... I can't remember if R33 showed 11.0°C or not).

There is one obvious foible though - again to be monitored and clarified - set the theme to Dark mode (before or after the READY state, makes no difference), get out of the car, get back in and press the brake pedal and the screen reverts to Light theme. 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

If I spot anything else I'll update here. If you have any questions on things for me to look at please ask. :)

PS ... SOH was reported as 93%, which concurs with what I saw via Car Scanner.

Just under 8,600 miles in just under 2 years. (I retired less than 2 months after getting the car). :)

Nice to see that you got the sensors upgrade, hopefully they did the BCM as well (if it wasn't done before). Looking forward to your impressions on lka now

93% state of health seams poor on that. Mine at 8500k miles and 12 months (on the road probably longer parked in a field before registration) was at 99%
Trophy model battery has a much bigger upper buffer which is hiding the degradation.

Degradation rate will hopefully tail off after the first year or so.

The LR has the NMC battery pack, which has 2.3kWh of buffer. Mine has the LFP pack which only has 0.2kWh of buffer so shows real degradation ... yours is also degrading but the buffer is masking it. ;)

So you still can't turn off the automatic central locking? What about the 5°C temperature offset?

I've got a Trophy as a courtesy car just now and the automatic lighting system is doing some very weird things.

I didn't notice a central locking option when I skimmed through the settings, but I didn't look closely.

When I got the car back the HVAC was set at 23°C (I had it at 25) and it seemed comfortable-to-warm, so maybe the offset has been tweaked? (That'll have been the HVAC update though, not the FICM).

What’s the number when the bar is bang in the middle of the temp gauge?
Did you set the theme with auto lights on or off?
Did you reset everything to factory as a pre caution?
Do you have ‘welcome lights’ enabled?

Good to hear you got the updates. Sounds like you’ve got a very good dealer!

What about CarPlay / AA - can you plug the phone in before the infotainment has fully booted? With R33 that’s not possible, as it doesn’t connect.

Also, what about the left star button - does it save the settings properly?

Shortcuts - do you still have the pulldown menu?

Edit - is the heating any better? Mine warms up, then after a while blasts out cold air for a bit. It’s almost as if the temp has gone above what it has been set at, so the car tries to cool it down again. Really irritating to be honest, probably the most annoying thing about my car, aside from the bloody rattles!

Are you on R33? I've not had any problem with plugging in AA since I got it, nor do I have that problem with the heating. (I do have an issue with the left star button which the dealer is looking at at the moment.)

Yep I’m on R33. Always have to wait until the infotainment fully boots before plugging the iPhone in, or it doesn’t register.

My heating is incredibly annoying, especially now it’s got colder again. Nothing like getting to a nice comfortable temperature only for the car to blast you with colder air again! Well, maybe not blast, but it definitely outputs cold air.

The left and right star buttons had retained their configs from R33, but most other things had reset. e.g. I had to reapply all my radio favourites.

With R33 I never tried plugging in the phone (Android) before the Infotainment had booted up. Latterly I've been using a wireless AA adapter with a 40s start-up delay - this has worked without issue so far, and continued to do so with R38.

Thanks SG! One other thing that just came to mind - any update to the radio channels images, can you finally add your own etc?
