Trip computer no longer resets itself

Hi guys , anybody out there in mg land know why my trip computer (is that the right terminology ?) has stopped resetting itself, used to be when I stopped for any length of time (few hours) it would reset, miles per kilowatt, trip mileage ect. now I have to long press to reset which I don’t find as handy. Pilot error I guess, any thoughts
