For the record this update had the following:
This update was MG4X only (Trophy). 900MB OTA

Update R18
There have been corrections and improvements.
1. Improve system stability and speed.
2. Improve the display and user interface to make it easier to use and understand.
3. Improve Thai language voice command system i smart
4. Improved air conditioning system and automatic windshield defogger.
5. Added Quick Start function.
6. Improved Kers system to be more stable and energy-saving.
7. Improve tire pressure system (TPMS)
8. Improved the v2l system to provide power for up to 2,200 objects.
9. Navigation system increases the accuracy and efficiency of navigation.
10. The sound system improves the sound quality.
11. Improved smartphone connectivity for both old and new models (android auto /apple car play)
12. Emergency change assistance system increases the accuracy of detecting objects and people on the road.
13. Lane Departure Warning System: Improves lane departure warning efficiency.
14. Automatic speed control system improves the smoothness of maintaining distance from the car in front.
15. Blind spot detection system increases the system's detection efficiency.
16. 180 degree front and rear cameras are clearer and smoother.
17. On the main screen shortcut, there are kers buttons and driving mode buttons to adjust on this page.



Obviously the Thai version numbering is different from UK/EU.
I was just about to pull the trigger and pay for an update in the UK so I really hope we get OTA soon!

interesting, that would seem to affect more than just the infotainment unit - if they are able to update all modules OTA that would be amazing (and might explain why they haven't pushed it out yet - they may have foreseen the Crowdstrike moment )

What did you have before? I went to R46 a while ago and it seemed to fix my bluetooth pairing issues, but in the last few weeks its started needing repairing every few days again

I was on R30something. Definitely worth updating

There are quite a few who still had Bluetooth pairing issues after having R46 installed. It put me off getting mine updated from R33. And once I learned that you don't have to re pair when it happens but simply press home and hold while the message is on the screen and the Bluetooth is restored it wasn't such an issue anymore.

If it could help : I got this issue in R33 and R46 with my Luxury (French Trophy).
When it's happen, it's just a glitch and it only pair partially the phone and the car with a temp Bluetotth MAC adress. As @AndyL61 said, if you pair your phone, it's not going to solve the problem.
Whats I do is : check the right MAC adress on the phone Bluetooth list, delete paring on both car and both, disable Bluetooth from Phone, reboot with "Home" button and pair phone and car again.
After that, I check if the MAC adress is good. If not, I reboot and retry to pair.

In Italy they are delivering MG4 my24 that have some new features such as finally the navigator voice in Italian and the planning of charging stops. They seem to have a different hardware version and a different infotainment software numbering. In Italy the Luxury (Trophy) are updated up to R46. The luxury my24 delivered have version R30 but are clearly more updated than the R46.

Do you mean the chargers are automatically displayed on a trip from a to b, so you can pick a charger along the route? Or do you mean that you can add them manually on a trip from a to b?

In the UK there is a full trip planner that auto adds chargers on your trip. Doesn’t show any soc info though.

Infotainment and navi updates are not 100% identical. I'm pretty sure I already have the latest LKA updates belonging to r59 package in the UK, but the infotainment on mine is still r46.
About the hardware, that could be conditional. But again, it does not have to. Beginning of August I willhave chat with the manager of the dealership. I will probably know more by then.

Why have you decided that this is HW version (HW means hardware)? This is version of "Infotainment" system.

Understood, you have software updated. No hardware changes, right?

Obviously there is no official MG guide (probably only for MG technicians and workshops). I base this on what I could find online and in thematic groups. SWI should indicate the hardware. R30 should be the infotainment version. I could be wrong

AEB,speed limit recognition and ACC all unavailable….) and they said they got a message from MG yesterday in relation to the Which article. They are in the process of finalising an update to the software and when ready all the dealers will be asked to contact all MG4 owners to schedule in the update.

Let’s see if it happens that way!

Let's hope that happens.

It would be so much easier, quicker, cheaper, for all involved if it could be pushed out over the air to the cars.
